Phase III Study of Socazolimab as First-Line Treatment in Persistent, Recurrent, or Metastatic Cervical Cancer

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Socazolimab combined with chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab as first-Line treatment in persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. The main question it aims to answer is: Does Socazolimab combined with chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab better benefit patients with persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer as first-line treatment compared with placebo combined with chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab. Participants will be treated with Socazolimab/placebo + chemotherapy ± bevacizumab) for 6~8 cycles (Q3w), following maintenance treatment of Socazolimab/placebo (Q3w).

A Study to Compare Sacituzumab Tirumotecan (MK-2870) Monotherapy Versus Treatment of Physician's Choice as Second-line Treatment for Participants With Recurrent or Metastatic Cervical Cancer (MK-2870-020/TroFuse-020/Gog-3101/ENGOT-cx20)

This study will have two phases: a sacituzumab tirumotecan safety run-in and a Phase 3 portion. The safety run-in phase will be used to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sacituzumab tirumotecan at the dose for evaluation in the Phase 3 portion. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of sacituzumab tirumotecan versus treatment of physician's choice as second-line treatment for participants with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer in the Phase 3 portion. The primary study hypotheses are that, in the Phase 3 portion, sacituzumab tirumotecan results in a superior overall survival compared to TPC in participants with high trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP2) expression level and in all participants.

Pocket Colposcopy Using CARE Algorithm

The Pocket colposcope has 510k FDA clearance and has been successfully used in ~2500 unique patients globally in Duke and non-Duke protocols to date. 1054 women who are HPV(+) and planned to undergo treatment at 4-6 Ministry of Health-supported outpatient clinics in Kisumu County will be recruited to the study. After providing informed consent, participants will be proceed with colposcopy using the POCKET colposcope.

Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) is overexpressed in cervical cancer cells. Stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT) can enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy.

In order to improve the clinical effect and find a new safe and effective treatment model for advanced recurrent cervical cancer, this study explored the efficacy level safety of pemetrexed, carboplatin, recombinant human adenovirus type 5, and AK104 regimen in recurrent and refractory advanced cervical cancer. For some patients with immune-resistant cervical cancer, combination chemotherapy and oncolytic virus therapy can promote the transformation of cold tumors into hot tumors, eliminate and then reverse the suppressor factors of immune resistance, and break the dilemma of immunotherapy drug resistance, which is a new method and strategy under immunotherapy drug resistance.

Validation of Artificial Intelligence as Decision Support System in VIA (PRESCRIP-TEC)

The research project is a component of another research project that applies the protocol of the World Health Organization for screening of cervical cancer, with testing of high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (hrHPV) as first screening. In the screen, triage and treat approach women who tested positive for hrHPV are undergoing Visual Inspection of the cervix with Acetic Acid (VIA). This procedure is applied in Uganda, India and Bangladesh. However the quality of VIA by lower-trained staff is variable because Low and Middle Income Countries face limited numbers of qualified health care professionals. Artificial intelligence (AI) might be a solution to improve consistency of VIA assessment. This research validates an AI decision support system (AI-DSS) under field conditions.

HPV Self-sampling for Underscreened Latinas

The goal of this study is to learn if women of Hispanic/Latina ethnicity are willing to self-collect a cervico-vaginal sample for HPV testing. The main question the study will answer is: • Does a brief educational intervention increase the feasibility and acceptability of HPV self-sampling among Hispanic/Latina women? The study team will compare whether including a brief educational intervention with a mailed HPV self-sampling kit is more acceptable than receiving a mailed HPV self-sampling kit alone. Participants will be asked to complete surveys at study entry (baseline) and then randomized to receive only the HPV self-sampling kit, or the kit plus a small group education that meets with a bilingual health educator. Participants will then be contacted about one-month later to complete a follow-up survey. The study team will also measure the number of participants in each group who self-collect a sample and mail it in for HPV testing.
