Type | Measure | Description | Time frame | Safety issue |
---|---|---|---|---|
Primary | Pain perception | Rating of perceived pain as measured by the visual analog scale (VAS) on a scale of 0 to 100. With 100 being the highest pain score. | 72 hours | |
Primary | Pain Pressure Threshold (PPT) | Pressure was measured by an algometer on a continuous scale. A higher score would indicate an individual tolerating more pressure. | 72 hours | |
Primary | Tissue Stiffness | Tissue stiffness was measured using Shear Wave Elastography on a scale of 0 150, with larger numbers indicating a higher tissue stiffness. | 72 Hours | |
Primary | Muscle Thickness | B-Mode Ultrasound was used to measure the resting thickness of the trapezius. muscle | 72 hours |
