NCT ID: NCT04829409 Recruiting - Pain, Acute Clinical Trials

The Effects of Three Different Ultrasound-guided Nerve Blocks in VATS

Start date: April 5, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Ultrasound-guided mid-point transverse process to pleura block, erector spinae plane block and paravertebral block are three different methods of nerve block, used for relieving postoperative pain in thoracic anesthesia. This study is to compare them on block effects, postoperative pain and analgesic consumption in video-assisted thoracic surgery.

NCT ID: NCT04757558 Active, not recruiting - Thoracic Anesthesia Clinical Trials

C-MAC Video-stylet for Double- Lumen Tracheal Intubation

Start date: December 20, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

C-MAC Video Stylet secures the airway. It is a completely new type of video endoscope, it combines the advantages of both rigid and flexible intubation endoscopes. Video allows everyone involved in the intubation to visualize the anatomy simultaneously which facilitates communication and teamwork.

NCT ID: NCT04449770 Recruiting - Thoracic Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Height-based Formula for Predicting the Insertion Depth of Left-sided Double and the Role of Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy

Start date: August 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The use of height based formula to predict insertion depth of left-sided double lumen tube in thoracic surgery is now well established. The investigators have developed a formula to be used and published recently. The investigators verified the formula with the use of FOB. This observational study we are going to use with FOB checking if needed.

NCT ID: NCT03912311 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for One-lung Ventilation

Auscultation, Lus, Fob In Olv (ALFIO)

ALFIO
Start date: April 2, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The study will be to demonstrate that, in patients undergoing elective thoracic surgery, lung ultrasound (LUS) in OR is more sensitive, specific and accurate method than thoracic auscultation, for the evaluation of OLV. The aim of the study is to demonstrate how lung ultrasound can be considered an attractive alternative to the routine use of fiberbronchoscope as a first line diagnostic tool to verify the correct position of left double lumen tube.
