NCT ID: NCT05793918 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Percutaneous Electrolysis, Ultrasound-guided Percutaneous Neuromodulation Therapy and Eccentric Exercise in Supraspinatus Tendinopathy.

Start date: March 13, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy show a big impact, however, there is a lack of awareness about the options of the physiotherapist treatment. It is necessary to do studies about effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis and neuromodulation. This technique enables treatment of the tendinopathies. To analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation in the treatment of supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Single center randomized controlled trial, parallel treatment design. A specialist physician will be diagnosed the supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive treatmen for 4 weeks: percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation associated with eccentric exercises or conventional treatment of Physiotherapy with the same eccentric exercises. Both interventions were performed under ultrasound guidance with a portable ultrasound (General Electric LogicE). Data will be collected by a blinded evaluator.

NCT ID: NCT05627102 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Structural and Functional Changes in Supraspinatus Tendinopathy Thtough Percutaneous Electrolysis and Neuromodulation Combined Therapy. A Single-blinded Randomized clínical Trial.

NCT ID: NCT05241977 Completed - Shoulder Pain Clinical Trials

MINIMUM EFFECTIVE VOLUME OF BUPIVACAİNE FOR ANTERIOR SUPRASCAPULAR NERVE BLOCK

Start date: March 7, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Various local anesthetic volumes are used in the literature for anterior suprascapular nerve block (ASSB). There are different studies between 15 ml and 5 ml. Effective local anesthetic volume studies for ASSB have not yet been performed. Our study is aimed to investigate the minimum effective local anesthetic volume for ASSB.

NCT ID: NCT04851951 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) One-Shot Injection For Supraspinatus Tendinosis

Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It was conducted a prospective study with a series of 50 patients treated with PRP one-shot injection in patient affected by Supraspinatus Tendinosis. One independent observer performed clinical and functional evaluations at T0 (recruitment), T1 (one month after the injection), T2 (three months after the last injection) and T3 (six months after the last injection). Constant Score, The Disabilites of the Arm,Shoulder and Hand Score (DASH) And Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) were administered at each evaluation.

NCT ID: NCT03744195 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Effect of Kinesotaping on Management of Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Start date: December 15, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Supraspinatus tendonitis is a common clinical problem that causes functional and labor disabilities. It is the most frequent cause of shoulder pain. Manual therapy is a common intervention used by physical therapist for management of supraspinatus tendonitis. Joint mobilization, stretching and strengthening exercises are commonly used techniques for management of this condition. In this study KT will be added to conventional manual therapy and its efficacy will be investigated. The study design will be Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) that will be used to compare the effects of KT added to manual therapy for management of supraspinatus tendonitis. 38 patients will be participate in this study who will be assigned randomly (biased coin method) to experimental and control groups (19+19). The data collection will be carried out at Railway Hospital Rawalpindi. Patients with shoulder pain at rest and positive for special tests (Neer's, Empty Can, Drop Arm, Hawkin's Kennedy) will be included in this study. There is no restriction on gender and age group will be between 25 and 60 years. Patients with cervical post op, referred pain, open wounds, allergic to KT and with signs of radiculopathy will be excluded from this study. Pre and post treatment evaluation will be done using Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) and goniometry. Data will be collected on 1st day, 4th day and 7th day for both groups. After data collection is completed, SPSS will be used to analyze the collected data

NCT ID: NCT03184181 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Application of Percutaneous Electrolysis, Percutaneous Neuromodulation and Eccentric Exercise

MRH-EPTE
Start date: November 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy show a big impact, however, there is a lack of awareness about the options of the physiotherapist treatment. It is necessary to do studies about effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis (EPTE®). This technique enables treatment of the tendinopathies and the broken muscle fibrilare. It is base on the application of galvanic current through a acupuncture needle. To analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis (EPTE®) in the treatment of supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Single center randomized controlled trial, parallel treatment design. A specialist physician will be diagnosed the supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive treatmen for 4 weeks: EPTE® associated with eccentric exercises or dry needling with the same eccentric exercises. Both interventions were performed under ultrasound guidance with a portable ultrasound (General Electric LogicE). Data will be collected by a blinded evaluator.
