Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is a group of chronic inflammatory pathologies whose progression over time is poorly defined, and in particular the clinical and instrumental elements that can predispose to a condition of disease severity are not completely known. It would be important to have an idea of what the predisposing factors are, possibly already at baseline, and possibly also at follow up, of severe disease, so as to be able to act early with more aggressive and targeted therapies on these patients, so as to achieve remission.

Rehabilitative Therapy and Pridinol in Patients With Lumbar Spondylarthrosis and Chronic Low Back Pain

Spondyloarthrosis is a degenerative disease involving the intervertebral disc, vertebral bodies, and adjacent soft tissues. Treatment aims to slow disease progression and manage symptoms through an interdisciplinary approach.It can be conservative, pharmacological and interventional, rarely chirurgic. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a rehabilitation program combined with Pridinol Mesylate in the treatment of Spondyloarthrosis in elderly patients in terms of pain resolution, improving disability, and quality of life versus single treatment. A randomized controlled trial was conducted in patients with spondyloarthritis. The patients recruited were divided into three groups: the Combined Group (CG), who received a rehabilitation program combined with Pridinol Mesylate; the Rehabilitation Group (RG), who received only the same rehabilitation program; and the Drug Group (DG), who received only the administration of the drug.

The goal of this observational study is to determine whether there is a decrease in muscle mass and the relationship between lower extremity skeletal muscle mass, muscle strength and disease activity in Ankylosing spondylitis. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is there a relationship between the muscle thickness and pennation angle of the quadriceps, Gastrocnemius medialis and lateralis, Vastus medialis and lateralis and tibialis anterior muscles with disease activity and muscle strength? - Are there any differences in the results of morphological parameters of lower extremity muscles between Ankylosing spondylitis and voluntary participants? Researchers will compare voluntary participants to see if any difference in lower muscle morphological parameters.

Brucella spondylitis, an infectious spinal disease caused by the invasion of Brucella bacteria into the body. Its diagnosis relies mainly on laboratory and imaging tests. Due to the limited diagnostic ability of X-ray and CT for Brucella spondylitis, MRI has become the main diagnostic tool. In recent years, functional magnetic resonance technology has demonstrated great advantages in the diagnosis and therapeutic evaluation of brucellosis spondylitis, which can provide pathophysiologic information about the disease and is also a noninvasive and noninvasive diagnostic tool with a broader application prospect. Radiomics, an emerging approach, has also shown better diagnostic efficacy for this disease.
