Filter by:Some parents of children living with a visible difference can experience heightened stress due to the associated challenges of this. Parent's views of the child's visible difference and their responses to the child are important. Mindful parenting approaches have been found to reduce stress or distress for parents of children with disabilities, physical health problems and skin conditions. This study will be completed with a small number of participants (around six to 12). Participants will be parents or carers of a child living with a visible difference aged four to 16 years, who are experiencing stress. Parents or carers will complete an online mindful parenting intervention (called Two Hearts) including video content, audio files and a workbook, over six weeks. Over the twelve-week study period participants will also provide the following information which will be compared over time: - Complete four group support sessions during the intervention via videoconferencing - Complete questionnaires at four timepoints - Provide information about their use of the intervention materials and home practice weekly - Answer two questions daily via text message about parenting stress levels We hope to learn about the initial effects of the mindful parenting programme for parents or carers of children living with a visible difference. We also hope to learn whether parents or carers find completing an online programme possible and practical. Finally, we hope to learn what parents' or carers' views are of the online programme and whether this type of intervention in online format would be helpful for other parents or carers.
The aim of this open, before/after, multicentric study is to assess the effect and tolerance of Cicaplast Baume B5 in patients having a skin irritation (irritative and cracked dermatitis, dry eczematids, rubbing irritation, ...) under dermatological control. Patients are asked to apply the product at least twice a day until complete recovery (maximum 21 days).
The purpose of this study is to test whether the reduction of the discomfort or itching with the scalp of patients by use of the novel electrolyzed water spray will produce improvement in the condition of the scalp.

Patients aged 16 years and over are asked to apply the product once or twice a day for 2 months. They may be prescribed a corticosteroid upon decision of the dermatologist.
The overall goal of this study is to develop OCT Vibrography (aka OCT elastography) as a novel tool for measuring biomechanical properties of human tissues in vivo.
This study is to identify rare, disease-causing mutations of several rare neutrophil dermatoses. To identify associations between NMID and variants in the genome next generation sequencing, mainly whole exome sequencing, will be used. In a second approach the expression level of already known inflammatory proteins in skin samples will be investigated.
The main purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of baricitinib for the treatment of severe or very severe alopecia areata (hair loss) in children from 6 years to less than 18 years of age. The study is divided into 4 periods, a 5-week Screening period, a 36-week Double-Blind Treatment Period, an approximately 2-year Long-term Extension Period, and a 4-week Post-treatment Follow-up period.
Goal is to investigate the differences in skin condition and body composition among women with different dietary habits aged 30-45 years. Study will be focused onto sub-groups of female subjects following omnivorous, vegetarian or vegan diet.
Severe itch is a common symptom of many genetic skin disorders and leads to a negative impact on patient quality of life. The investigators hypothesize that: a) intervention with dupilumab will improve itch in patients with pruritic genetic inflammatory skin disorders, even those not recognized to be Th2-driven; and b) the administration of dupilumab will be well-tolerated, regardless of underlying genetic skin disorder. The total clinical study duration will be 26 months (104 Weeks). The treatment period will include a 16-week open-label phase and a 20-month long-term extension phase for those who qualify and wish to continue.
The purpose of this study is to understand variation in the symptoms of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis using simple, scalable smartphone-based measurements. This study uses an iPhone app to record these symptoms through questionnaires and sensors.
