Pragmatic Posterior Capsular Stretch Versus Sleeper Stretch in Subject With Shoulder Pathologies

The glenohumeral joint is an articulation between the glenoid of the scapula and the head of the humerus that is enclosed by a synovial capsule divided into three main components: anterior, posterior, and the axillary pouch. Symptoms of posterior capsule tightness are linked to altered shoulder biomechanics and impairments which includes glenohumeral internal rotation deficit, incomplete glenohumeral adduction, impaired inferior glenohumeral ligament (IGHL) function, and increased risk of impingement symptoms. In the literature the two techniques available for stretching posterior capsule are pragmatic posterior capsular stretch and sleeper stretch. Pragmatic posterior capsular stretch is therapist administered and sleeper stretch is patient-administered. The work on the pragmatic posterior capsular stretch is more specified and rational to mark the tightness in the posterior capsule.

Clinical Applications of Blood Flow Restriction and Rehabilitation Outcomes

The study aims to evaluate the effect of low load resistance training combined with blood flow restriction or sham blood flow restriction in patients with anterior knee pain and rotator cuff related shoulder pain in a cross-over two-arm randomized, participant and assessor blinded design. More specifically, we aim to investigate the acute and short-term hypoalgesic response (by evaluating pressure pain detection thresholds) of low load exercise with blood flow restriction or sham blood flow restriction, the effect of these interventions in pain during clinical testing, and the possibility of a placebo effect.

Effects of PNF on Shoulder Pain in Paraplegic Manual Wheel Chair Users

This project was a Randomized control trial conducted to check the Effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation on Shoulder Pain due to chronic impingement syndrome in paraplegic Manual Wheelchair users after Spinal Cord Injury so that we can have best treatment option for patients with shoulder pain due to manual wheelchair usage. duration was of 6months,convenient sampling was done, subject following eligibility criteria from Spine welfare trust center, Nawaz Sharif social security Hospital were randomly allocated in two groups via lottery method, Group A participants were given baseline treatment along with PNF exercises , Group B participants were given baseline treatment upto 6 weeks and 3 sessions per, post intervention assessment was done after 6 weeks, by self-generated questionnaire (WUSPI) wheel chair users shoulder pain index, (SRQ) Shoulder rating questionnaire and physical assessment by 2 special test was done, data was analyzed by using SPSS version 25.

MIRM Versus PIRT in Athletes With Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit

Glenohumeral internal rotation deficit (GIRD) is common physical deficiency found both teenager and overhead many sports for example baseball, cricket, and tennis. GIRD is generally categorized as simultaneous deficits of internal rotation (IR) and total arc of motion in the dominant side. GIRD causes increase muscle stiffness, capsular changes ( hyperplasia) , muscle imbalance leads to humeral retroversion. The objective of the study will be to Compare the effects of Mulligan internal rotation Mobilization and post isometric relaxation technique on Pain, Range of motion and function in athletes with Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit This study will be a Randomise Control trial and will be conducted Pakistan cricket board acedmy and in outpatient department of physical therapy, AL REHMAN Hospital Lahore . The study will be completed within the time duration of six months . Convenient sampling technique will be used to collect the data. A sample size of 14 patients will be taken in this study Comparison of Mulligan internal rotation Mobilization and post isometric relaxation technique on Pain and function in athletes with Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit. Patients will be divided into two groups. (Group A will be treated with mulligan MWM AND Sleeper stretch whereas Group B will be treated with post isometic relaxtion technique and sleeper stretch ). SPADI score will be used to ask some questions related to patients symptoms and daily activities and Numeric pain rating scale will be used to measure pain intensity. UNIVERSAL GONIOMETER will be used to measure ROM of shoulder joint All participants of the study will fill the SPADI score and Numeric pain rating scale on day 1 as pre treatment values and at the end of week 2 as post treatment values respectively . The collected data will be analyzed on SPSS 25.
