Filter by:This study aims to collect the motor movement data using sensors to detect Generalized Tonic Clonic Seizures . Wearable sensors similar to smart watches will be used to detect seizures. The proposed system will consist of 3-4 wearable wireless sensor worn on the hands and legs. The data from these sensors will be send to the clod and collected to a central hub for analysis and detection of GTC Seizures.
The purpose of this study is to identify patient characteristics (such as baseline seizure frequency) that may predict effective doses of topiramate using just that one drug (monotherapy) as initial therapy for epilepsy. Topiramate is an anti-epileptic drug that is approved for the treatment of epilepsy in adults and children 2 years of age and above.
This study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of LAMICTAL (lamotrigine) extended-release with placebo in the treatment of Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures. LAMICTAL extended-release is an investigational drug. Placebo tablets look like LAMICTAL extended-release tablets but do not contain active medication. In this study, LAMICTAL extended-release or placebo tablets will be added to current seizure treatments.
