A Randomized Controlled Trial of VSL#3 for the Prevention of Endoscopic Recurrence Following Surgery for Crohn's Disease.

A Randomized and Placebo-Controlled Double-Blind Multicentre Study to Determine the Efficacy and Safety of VSL#3 Probiotic Food Supplement Mixture in Prevention of Endoscopic Recurrence in Crohn's Disease Patients With Ileocolonic Surgical Resection and Small Intestine to Colon Anastomosis.

This randomized placebo-controlled double-blind, multi-centre trial will determine the efficacy of the probiotic VSL#3 in the prevention of Crohn's disease development following surgical resection and re-anastomosis. A total of 120 patients will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive VSL#3 or placebo for 90 days. Patients who respond to study treatment, as defined by the absence of a severe endoscopic recurrence at day 90, will be offered open-label VSL#3 for an additional 9 months.

Study of the Human Anti-TNF Monoclonal Antibody Adalimumab for the Induction of Clinical Remission in Subjects With Crohn's Disease

A Multi-Center, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of the Human Anti-TNF Monoclonal Antibody Adalimumab for the Induction of Clinical Remission in Subjects With Moderate to Severe Crohn's Disease Who Have Lost Response or Are Intolerant to Infliximab

The goal of this study is to test whether adalimumab can induce clinical remission in subjects with active Crohn's disease who have been initially treated with infliximab and either lost response or discontinued its use as a result of intolerance to the drug.

Safety, Tolerability and Effectiveness of Natalizumab in Adolescents With Active Crohn's Disease

A Phase II, International, Multicenter, Open Label Study of the Safety, Tolerability and Effectiveness of Three Intravenous Infusions of Antegren (Natalizumab) in Adolescents With Moderately to Severely Active Crohn's Disease

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of natalizumab in adolescents (ages 12-17) diagnosed with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease (CD). It is thought that natalizumab may stop the movement of certain cells, known as white blood cells, into bowel tissue. These cells are thought to cause damage in the bowel leading to the symptoms of Crohn's disease. Patients who complete this study may be eligible for long-term natalizumab therapy via extension protocol ELN100226-352.

A Phase II Pilot Study of CP-461 in the Treatment of Moderately to Severely Active Crohn's Disease

Patients with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease will be treated with oral CP-461 200 mg (2 x 100 mg capsules) twice-daily for 8 weeks. The purpose of this study is to see if CP-461 improves the symptoms of Crohn's disease and/or the patient's quality of life. Patient's safety will be monitored throughout the study.

Safety and Efficacy of Natalizumab in the Treatment of Crohn's Disease

A Phase 3 International, Multicenter, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study of the Safety, Efficacy, and Tolerability of Intravenous Antegren (Natalizumab) in Subjects With Moderate to Severely Active Crohn's Disease

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of natalizumab in individuals diagnosed with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease. It is thought that natalizumab may stop the movement of certain cells, known as white blood cells, into bowel tissue. These cells are thought to cause damage in the bowel leading to the symptoms of Crohn's disease.
