RATIONALE: DNA analysis of tumor, blood, and bone marrow may help doctors predict if the
disease has been disseminated.
PURPOSE: This research trial studies DNA tests in detecting disseminated disease in tumor,
blood, and bone marrow samples from patients with rhabdomyosarcoma.
