Filter by:Photobiomodulation therapy, that is, Low-level red-light technology provides a new and innovative myopia control approach. This strategy enables relatively high energies of light to be delivered at much shorter durations of exposure to induce the myopia control effect. The efficacy of the low-level red-light technology has been proven in a Chinese populationb for the recent 3 years with evidence based papers and amazing results. However, there's not yet evidence to demonstrate the relationship between the dose response effect of photobiomodulation therapy on myopia control at the different age lever.
To investigate the relationship between axis length (AL) and refractive error. eyes of low hyperopia to emmetropia subjects, comprising eyes with moderate to high myopia (-11.00D ≤ SE ≤ -4.00D) were analyzed in this cross-sectional study. Cycloplegic refractive error was measured with the autorefractor, AL was measured with the IOL master. Association between AL and refractive error were evaluated by linear regression analysis. The mean of AL and its correlation with SE, sex, and age were evaluated.
Youth and some adults have photoscreening refractions and hand-held auto refraction before cycloplegia refraction during new and follow up eye examinations. Vector math is applied to each refraction to determine how closely the hand-held "dry" devices match actual refraction.
