NCT ID: NCT06258694 Completed - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Venous Thrombo-Embolism Imaging Database (VTE-ID)

VTE-ID
Start date: January 14, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to identify and validate new imaging biomarkers allowing an individual phenotyping of patient with venous thrombo-embolism (VTE), mainly in terms of recurrence risk assessment and to distinguish provoked from unprovoked VTE. To do so, the investigators will create a retrospective imaging database including multiple imaging modalities, performed at diagnosis of the VTE.

NCT ID: NCT06118203 Completed - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Semaglutide Use in Acute Pulmonary Embolism

Start date: January 2, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Evaluation of circulating endothelial inflammatory biomarkers in response to GLP-1 agonist Semaglutide in acute pulmonary embolism

NCT ID: NCT06067997 Completed - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Prevalence Of Pulmonary Embolism In Patients With HEmoptysis (POPEIHE)

POPEIHE
Start date: December 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Estimation of the incidence of pulmonary embolism in patients presenting to the Emergency Department with hemoptysis.

NCT ID: NCT06067308 Completed - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

YEARS Score vs CTPA in Pulmonary Embolism

Start date: October 16, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators' aim in this study is to assess the sensitivity and accuracy of YEARS algorithm in the diagnosis of PE.

NCT ID: NCT06009484 Completed - Colon Cancer Clinical Trials

VTE Incidence After Curative Colon Cancer Surgery in an ERAS Program

Start date: January 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Based on data on a cohort of 2,141 patients undergoing elective colonic cancer resection in an ERAS program, the incidence of postoperative thromboembolic events is estimated in patients no receiving prolonged thromboembolic prophylaxis.

NCT ID: NCT05862220 Completed - Clinical trials for D-Dimer as an Early Detector of Pulmonary Embolism

Correlation Between Computer Tomography Angiography and D-Dimer Level for the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Embolism

Start date: December 14, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A blood sample was taken before starting the patients on any thrombolytic treatment. The positivity threshold for D-Dimer was above 250 ng/ml. CTPA was performed after performing blood sampling. Patients with confirmed pulmonary embolisms were admitted to ICU for continued monitoring of vitals, consciousness level, and signs of tissue perfusion. Signs of shock or hemodynamic instability should be observed regularly. Patients were managed in the ICU with anticoagulants by parenteral use. The most commonly used items were Heparin, either Unfractionated (UFH) or low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH).D-dimer levels can leverage to detect PE. D-dimer levels can help in guiding the option of CTPA and the initiation of treatment for patients with suspected PE.

NCT ID: NCT05770232 Completed - Rib Fractures Clinical Trials

Retrospectively Analyze the Risk Factors of VTE in 5774 Patients With Thoracic Trauma From 33 Hospitals in China, and Established a Risk Prediction Model

MCTTVTE
Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Retrospectively analyze the risk factors of VTE in 5774 patients with thoracic trauma from 33 hospitals in China, and established a risk prediction model

NCT ID: NCT05708794 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Embolism (Diagnosis)

Adjust-Unlikely PE

Start date: April 23, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this pilot study is to assess the feasibility of a larger study to determine the Adjust-Unlikely algorithm safety and efficiency for diagnosing PE. The pilot study objectives are to: 1. Determine study recruitment rate, per site, per month 2. Determine study 90-day loss to follow up rate 3. Estimate of the proportion of enrolled patients who test negative for PE at initial assessment using the Adjust-Unlikely rule 4. Estimate of the Adjust-Unlikely algorithm efficiency 5. Compare excluded and missed-eligible patients to study participants: age, sex and prevalence of PE diagnoses at initial testing. The pilot study hypothesis is that the investigators can recruit at least 20 patients per month and successfully follow at least 90% of patients for 90 days.

NCT ID: NCT05592444 Completed - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Strategies to Reduce Contrast Medium in Spectral CT Pulmonary Angiography

Start date: November 23, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of three different strategies to inject at reduced volume of contrast medium in Computed Tomography Pulmonary Angiography (CTPA). 330 patients referred for CTPA are randomized to receive either a low-concentration, a low-volume or a saline-diluted injection. Effects on the level and homogeneity of contrast enhancement are measured and compared between groups.

NCT ID: NCT05515120 Completed - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Rivaroxaban Plus Aspirin to Manage Recurrent Venous Thromboembolic Events

Start date: January 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Venous thromboembolism affects around 10 million people per year worldwide, however, despite its high incidence, there is no systematic review or randomized trial focused on the treatment of patients with recurrent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and/or or pulmonary embolism (PE) during anticoagulant treatment. The objective was to compare the use of Rivaroxaban plus Aspirin versus Acenocoumarol in patients with recurrent venous thromboembolism treated with rivaroxaban.
