Filter by:The objective is to determine the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics (PK) of 2 single doses of ZTI-01 (1g and 8g infused over 1-hr) and a single dose of the Reference Label Drug, Monurol® (oral sachet, 3g). Subjects will be randomized to a treatment sequence prior to dosing on Day 1 of Period 1 prior to study screening.
Ciprofloxacin PulmoSphere Inhalation Powder appears to be an effective and adequate antibiotic treatment for cystic fibrosis patients with P. aeruginosa colonisation. This planned study is the first study on the use of this new Ciprofloxacin PulmoSphere Inhalation Powder in the pediatric population of 6 to 12 years of age.
Some bacteria that cause disease can produce toxic substances that may worsen the disease. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a bacteria that can produce a variety of toxins and is of special interest for patients with cystic fibrosis and repeated long term lung infections. The goal of this study is to determine whether specific toxins produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa may be important in the disease process of chronic lung infections of patients with cystic fibrosis.
