Filter by:The Investigators' knowledge about pre-hospital emergency intubations is still limited. Various factors such as the average and the normal range of intubation time are still unknown. Since its launch Rega videotapes all intubation attempts with the C-MAC videolaryngoscope. The investigators prospectively analysed all routinely recorded intubation videos during one year performed by the Rega crews. The investigators analysed different parameters such as first pass success rate and the time to successfully intubate alongside with others. The goal was to find out more about this difficult procedure, about the problems which regularly occur and on what should be put particular emphasis during training.
The study team aims to test connectivity metrics and follow patient outcomes using a new, innovative synchronous video technology in the prehospital setting in three distinct areas: 1. - 911 Calls 2. - Pediatric Critical Care Transport Currently, paramedics and pediatric transport teams seek advice from physicians using a telephone. This project replaces the phone with video consultation where the physicians can directly interact with patients, paramedics and transport teams when care advice is needed.
This study evaluates two different techniques for ultrasound guided peripheral venous catheter insertion in pre-hospital emergency care in comparison with conventional approach without any ultrasound guidance.
The purpose of this retrospective study is to analyze quality and adverse events of analgesia by telemedically supported paramedics in comparison to conventional treatment by on-scene emergency medical service (EMS) physicians in the EMS of the city of Aachen, Germany.
