Intelligence Changes Following Minor Surgery

Animal studies showed that many general anesthetics might result in neuron apoptosis and neurocognitive impairment in the developing brain. However results from human studies are conflicted. In present study, the investigators examined the association between early exposure to anesthesia and surgery for minor surgery and intelligence changes in adolescence using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children.

Mild Versus Potent Corticosteroids as Treatment for Phimosis in Children

Topical steroids are used as treatment for non-retractile foreskin in children for decades, but, there are disagreement among physicians about the optimum potency of the agent used. This study is designed to determine any difference in the beneficial effects of mild versus potent topical corticosteroids in treatment of non-retractile foreskin in children.
