Feasibility and Therapeutic Efficacy of Ductoscopic Papilloma Extraction in Patients With Pathologic Nipple Discharge

In this prospective clinical trial, patients who sign an approved informed consent for ductoscopy to assess etiology of Pathologic nipple discharge (PND) will be enrolled in the study. Consented patients who have been diagnosed with a solitary papilloma within the discharging duct will be recruited to have interventional ductoscopy. Patients who are identified ductoscopically with a solitary non-sessile papilloma will undergo an attempted ductoscopic papillectomy (DP). Patients with ductoscopic findings other than single non-sessile papilloma will undergo standard ductoscopically guided microductectomy. The investigators will investigate whether the ductoscopic basket can be used as a safe endoscopic extraction instrument without adverse events. Histopathological evaluation will be performed to confirm the ductoscopic diagnosis and to determine the existence of any malignant tissue.

Transoral Surgery Followed By Low-Dose or Standard-Dose Radiation Therapy With or Without Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With HPV Positive Stage III-IVA Oropharyngeal Cancer

This randomized phase II trial studies how well transoral surgery followed by low-dose or standard-dose radiation therapy works in treating patients with human papilloma virus (HPV) positive stage III-IVA oropharyngeal cancer. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving radiation therapy with chemotherapy may kill any tumor cells that remain after surgery. It is not yet known how much extra treatment needs to be given after surgery.

Efficacy and Tolerability Study of V501 in Japanese Males (V501-122)

A study to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of V501 (quadrivalent Human Papilloma Virus [HPV] [Type 6, 11, 16 and 18] L1 Virus-Like Particle vaccine, GARDASILâ„¢) in healthy, 16- to 26-year old Japanese males. The hypotheses tested are: 1) V501 reduces the combined incidence of HPV 6-, 11-, 16-, or 18-related persistent infection compared with placebo, and 2) V501 reduces the combined incidence of HPV 6-, 11-, 16-, or 18-related persistent infection, condyloma acuminata, penile/perianal/perineal intraepithelial neoplasia, or penile, perianal, or perineal cancer compared with placebo.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen Analysis at the University Hospital Ostrava

This prospective study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) as a clinical marker of sinonasal inverted papilloma (IP). The potential benefit of SCCA in the diagnosis of unilateral nasal pathology and as a marker of hidden recurrence was evaluated as well. Blood samples from patients with sinonasal IP were examined to determine serum SCCA levels before surgery, the day after surgery, and every 6 months during follow-up. Preoperative and postoperative levels of SCCA were compared.

An Intervention Promoting HPV Vaccination in Safety-net Clinics

This randomized controlled trial is designed to evaluate whether a behavioral intervention that includes three components: 1) reminder letters and education materials delivered before the clinic visit, 2) telephone recalls after the visit for those who originally decline the vaccine, and 3) telephone reminders for those who miss the 2nd and/or 3rd doses, increases 1 and 3 dose coverage of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine series among adolescent girls attending four Parkland primary care clinics in Dallas county. Hypothesis 1: Investigators expect higher 1 dose HPV vaccine coverage among patients in the Intervention group than those in the General Adolescent Vaccine Brochure group. Hypothesis 2: Investigators expect significantly higher 1 dose HPV vaccine coverage among patients in the Intervention group who initially declined the vaccine than those in the General Adolescent Vaccine Brochure group who initially declined. Hypothesis 3: Investigators expect significantly higher 3 dose HPV vaccine coverage among the Intervention group than those in the General Adolescent Vaccine Brochure group.

Anal Dysplasia Study of Men Who Have Sex With Men Living With HIV

Context: Men who have sex with men (MSM) are at increased risk for HPV-related anal neoplasia and anal squamous cell carcinoma; concomitant HIV infection roughly doubles that risk. Objectives: 1. To compare the efficacy of ablative therapy to topical imiquimod therapy in the management of anal dysplasia in HIV-infected men. 2. To describe relationship between cytologic grade of anal dysplasia (as reported on screening anal Pap test) and pathologic grade reported on anal mucosa histopathologic examination. 3. To describe demographic, sexual practices, HPV-specific, and HIV-specific correlates of anal dysplasia. 4. To describe adverse effects associated with ablative therapy and topical imiquimod therapy. Design: Prospective, randomized controlled clinical trial. This will be a pilot study. All subjects will undergo baseline anal Pap, HRA with biopsies as indicated, and anal HPV testing. If AIN 2 or 3 is discovered on histopathologic examination, subject will be offered observation only or treatment. If he chooses treatment, he will be randomized to: 1) imiquimod anal suppositories three times weekly for 3 months, or 2) appropriate ablative therapy as determined by colorectal surgeon. During imiquimod treatment (not applicable to ablative group as their treatment will be completed in one visit) subjects will be followed for 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks with anal Pap, HRA with biopsies as indicated, and anal HPV testing. After therapy completed in each treatment group, subjects will be followed for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months post-therapy with anal Pap, HRA with biopsies as indicated, and anal HPV testing. Observation only subjects will be evaluated every 3 months with anal Pap, HRA with biopsies as indicated, and anal HPV testing for 12 months. We have chosen a goal of 30 subjects in each treatment group and 10 subjects in the observation only group based on the likelihood of enrolling a study of this type in a reasonable amount of time. Main Outcome Measures: 1. Anal Pap cytologic grade, including regression and recurrence during course of study 2. HPV type in anal canal, including regression and recurrence during course of study 3. Anal histology, including regression and recurrence during course of study 4. Adverse effects experienced during treatment, recorded in symptom log

Cetuximab and Everolimus in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Recurrent Colon Cancer or Head and Neck Cancer

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of cetuximab when given together with everolimus in treating patients with metastatic or recurrent colon cancer or head and neck cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of the tumor to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Everolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving cetuximab together with everolimus may be an effective treatment for colon cancer or head and neck cancer
