Filter by:The number as well as the caliber of plastic stents used for EUS-guided PFC drainage are controversial in current practice [Lin et al., 2014]. The timing of necrosectomy in WOPN drainage continues to be debated. To date, no comparative studies have been conducted to investigate the ideal timing for stent removal. Thus, the aim of our study is to: - Assess the technical success rates, clinical success rates and potential complications of the different techniques for the best drainage of PFCs as regard type, caliber and number of plastic stents and ideal timing for stent removal. - Compare between early vs late intervention for complete endoscopic necrosectomy of WOPN as regard technical success rates, clinical success rates, potential complications and number of sessions needed.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about clinical usefulness of double pigtail plastic stents during endoscopic transmural drainage of post-inflammatory pancreatic and peripancreatic fluid collections with use of lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMS). The main question it aims to answer is: Does introduction of double pigtail plastic stents through the LAMS increases efficacy and safety of endoscopic transmural drainage of post-inflammatory pancreatic and peripancreatic fluid collections?
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided transluminal drainage has become a first-line treatment modality for symptomatic pancreatic pseudocysts. Despite the increasing popularity of lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMSs), the use of a LAMS is limited by its high costs and specific adverse events compared to plastic stent placement. To date, there has been a paucity of data on the appropriate stent type in this setting. This trial aims to assess the non-inferiority of plastic stents to a LAMS for the initial EUS-guided drainage of pseudocysts.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of lumen-apposing metal stent (LAMS) and double pigtail plastic stents (DPPSs) on the drainage of pancreatic walled-off necrosis (WON), mainly to observe the efficacy and safety of LAMS for WON.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of lumen-apposing metal stent (LAMS) and traditional plastic stent on the drainage of pancreatic pseudocyst, mainly to observe the cyst recurrence rate of 12 months after treatment.
