NCT ID: NCT05643599 Recruiting - Ovary Disease Clinical Trials

The Relationship With Mad Honey Containing Grayanotoxin and Ovary Tissue

Start date: December 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

For our working group, eighteen healthy Sprague-Dawley female rats were recruited and separated into three groups in an experimental animal laboratory. Group 1 was given mad honey (n:6) (80 mg/kg); Group 2 was given normal honey (n:6) (80 mg/kg), and Group 3 was the control group (n:6). The groups were given normal and mad honey by oral gavage for 30 days in this study. Rats were anesthetized intramuscularly with 50 mg/kg ketamine and 5 mg/kg xylazine on the 30th day of the study. At the conclusion of the study, female rats in the proestrus phase of the estrous cycle (as indicated by vaginal smear) were sacrificed and their ovarian tissues were placed in neutral formalin solution.

NCT ID: NCT05001282 Recruiting - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate ELU001 in Patients With Solid Tumors That Overexpress Folate Receptor Alpha (FRα)

Start date: September 13, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study, ELU- FRα-1, is focused on adult subjects who have advanced, recurrent or refractory folate receptor alpha (FRα) overexpressing tumors considered to be topoisomerase 1 inhibitor-sensitive based on scientific literature, and, in the opinion of the Investigator, have no other meaningful life-prolonging therapy options available. ELU001 is a new chemical entity described as a C'Dot drug conjugate (CDC), consisting of payloads (exatecans) and targeting moieties (folic acid analogs) covalently bound by linkers to the C'Dot particle carrier. ELU001 will be the first drug-conjugate of its kind to be introduced into the clinic, a first in class, and a novel molecular entity.

NCT ID: NCT04817449 Active, not recruiting - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Spectroscopy in Ovarian Cancer

Start date: June 28, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Ovarian cancer is the eighth most common cause of cancer death in the world. Advanced stage at diagnosis is associated with lower survival rates, thus early detection appears to have an important role. Raman Spectroscopy is a non-invasive technique that uses the interaction of light to identify the composition of the sample tested. The aim of the project is to explore the use of spectroscopic techniques in the detection of ovarian cancer. There are two different assessments within the project: 1. Identify ovarian cancer in blood - Raman spectroscopic analysis will be performed on blood plasma taken from patients with suspected ovarian cancer. 2. Detect active cancer within post chemotherapy fibrotic tissue - Ex vivo Raman spectroscopic analysis of peritoneal, omental or ovarian tissues collected from patients undergoing surgical treatment for ovarian cancer. The results of the spectroscopy will be correlated to clinical outcome and histological diagnosis respectively.

NCT ID: NCT03897400 Completed - Crohn Disease Clinical Trials

Ovarian Reserve in Crohn's Disease

Start date: March 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Crohn's disease reduces fertility by inducing inflammation both directly and in the fallopian tubes and ovaries and indirectly through surgical interventions and tubal adhesions associated with disease treatment. Anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) is a reliable indicator of ovarian reserve in women. The aim of this study was to compare serum AMH levels in women with Crohn's disease and healthy controls. In this study, the investigators aimed to investigate AMH and ovarian capacity in the study group with crohn's disease and in the control group without disease.
