Filter by:The SODA-HF trial is a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial to evaluate the effect of moderate to severe sodium restriction on brain natriuretic peptide in patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (less than 40%). Secondary outcomes are quality of life, NYHA functional class, glomerular filtration rate, renin plasmatic activity, aldosterone and composite clinical outcome (all-cause mortality and cardiovascular hospitalization)
To determine if pre-race training effects heart damage induced by marathon running.
The aim of the study was to evaluate BNP in preterm infants < 28 weeks on the second day of life, when it is still unknown, if a patent ductus arteriosus is hemodynamic significant or not. We hypothesized that high plasma BNP concentrations on day 2 are associated with the need of PDA intervention in the further course.
