Filter by:The MAC-HAPLO-MUD trial is a randomized prospective phase III trial comparing HLA 10/10 matched unrelated donor and haploidentical allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation after myeloablative conditioning regimen in patients, age 15 years or older, with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) or Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) or Myeloproliferative Syndrome (SMP) or Myelodysplastic Syndromes (SMD) and requiring allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Primary endpoint is the 1-year progression free survival without acute grade II-IV GvHD and without moderate and severe chronic GvHD.
The purpose of this study is to find the number of natural killer (NK) cells from non-HLA matched donors that can be safely infused into patients with cancer. NK cells are a form of lymphocytes that defend against cancer cells. NK cells in cancer patients do not work well to fight cancer. In this study, the NK cells are being donated by healthy individuals without cancer who are not "matched" by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes to patients. After receiving these NK cells, patients may also be given a drug called ALT803. ALT803 is a protein that keeps NK cells alive, helps them grow in number and supports their cancer-fighting characteristics. HLA-unmatched NK cell infusion is investigational (experimental) because the process has not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
This is a phase II trial using a non-myeloablative cyclophosphamide/ fludarabine/total body irradiation (TBI) preparative regimen followed by a related or unrelated donor stem cell infusion. The primary objective is to evaluate rates of acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) grades II-IV and chronic GVHD with an updated GVHD prophylaxis of tacrolimus and mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) with a non-myeloablative preparative regimen in persons with hematologic malignancies.
The purpose of this study is to provide an opportunity for patients with malignancies or bone marrow failure states who lack a suitable sibling donor to undergo allogeneic hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation using cells from unrelated individuals or cord blood registries.
