View clinical trials related to Myelodysplasia.
Filter by:This study proposes using bortezomib in cohorts of 3-6 patients at the doses of 0.7, 1, and 1.3 mg/m2 on days 1, 4, 8, and 11 to determine the MTD in combination with lenalidomide 10 mg a day, for 21 days of a 28 day treatment cycle for patients with myelodysplastic syndrome.
Allogeneic transplantation is used to treat many malignant and non-malignant diseases, though the potential toxicities of the procedure remain high. We and others have shown that a less toxic preparative regimen allows reliable allogeneic engraftment for allogeneic transplantation. The primary purpose of this treatment trial is to follow patients undergoing allogeneic transplantation for long term outcomes. The regimen used has been tested in our prior phase I / II trial which has completed accrual. The issues of engraftment and rate of graft versus host disease have been answered and our success has led to this regimen being a standard approach for less toxic allogeneic therapy.

The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of performing unrelated stem cell transplants using intravenous busulfan and fludarabine as preparative therapy and tacrolimus plus methotrexate as the GVHD prophylaxis regimen. The goal is to demonstrate safety, aiming for a transplant related mortality rate (TRM) of < or equal to 40% at 100 days. A TRM of > or equal to 60% will be considered unacceptable. Another goal is to demonstrate efficacy by showing and overall survival of >40% at 1-year following transplant.
The primary objective of this study is to examine transplant related mortality (TRM) at 100 days <30%. A TRM of >50% is considered unacceptable. This study also seeks a TRM at 12 months that is <50%, engraftment >90% (defined as donor cells >80% at 6 months), and 1 year overall survival >50%.
This study performs HLA matched stem cell transplantation from unrelated donors in adults who require stem cell transplantation but do not have a matched related donor available. The incidence of graft-versus-host disease in unrelated stem cell transplantation is recorded. This study also monitors the activity and toxicity of total body irradiation and cyclosphosphamide followed by stem cell transplantation from matched unrelated donors.
The main objectives of this study are to evaluate the side effects of MKC-1 and to determine a safe dose of MKC-1 for future studies in patients with hematological malignancies
The purpose of this study is to compare Reduced Intensity Conditioning protocols containing either Thymoglobuline or Alemtuzumab in patients undergoing allogeneic transplant from voluntary unrelated donors.
The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy and tolerance of piperacillin-tazobactam versus piperacillin-tazobactam plus glycopeptide as initial empiric antibiotic treatment for fever in neutropenic patients. Study of consecutive cohorts(2). First the patients will be included in the monotherapy branch until completing the predicted number of cases. When this happens, the Coordinating Center will communicate it to the participant centers and from then the patients will be included in the combined therapy.
The purpose of this study is to test the safety of a new investigational acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) vaccine and see what effects (good and bad) it has on patients with advanced myelodysplasia or acute myelogenous leukemia.
