Transgene Assay Testing Service of Tumor Samples From Patients Who Received a Bristol-Myers Squibb Manufactured Gene Modified Cell Therapy and Have a Qualifying Secondary Malignancy

Start date: October 6, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this transgene assay testing service is to evaluate the tumor samples for transgene levels in patients who received a Bristol-Myers Squibb manufactured gene modified cellular therapy and have reported a qualifying secondary malignancy.

NCT ID: NCT06340646 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Washington University Participant Engagement and Cancer Genomic Sequencing Center (WU-PE-CGS)

Start date: October 18, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The overall goal of the WU-PE-CGS is to build a rigorous, scientific evidence base for approaches that direct engagement of cancer patients and post-treatment cancer survivors as participants in cancer research, and to investigate the impact of directly engaging participants in decisions regarding returning of genomic results on participants' health and satisfaction. Participants in this study will be presented with the choice of types of genomic results to receive, and the Engagement Optimization Unit (EOU) will investigate the impact of this intervention on participant knowledge, expectations of benefit, personal utility, and decisional conflict.

NCT ID: NCT06328699 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Chaplain-Delivered Compassion Meditation to Improve Spiritual Care of Patients Receiving Stem Cell Transplantation

Start date: October 30, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial tests the feasibility, implementation and acceptability of chaplain delivered compassion meditation in order to improve spiritual care for patients receiving stem cell transplantation. Hospital chaplains play a vital role in delivering emotional and spiritual care to a broad range of both religious and non-religious patients for a wide variety of stressors, and extensive research indicates that spiritual consults impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Compassion meditation is a secularized, research-based mindfulness and compassion meditation program designed to expand and strengthen compassion for self and others. Practices include training in attentional stability and increased emotional awareness, as well as targeted reflections to appreciate one's relationship with self and others. By centering the mind, controlling debilitating ruminative thoughts, and cultivating personal resiliency and an inclusive and more accurate understanding of others. Engaging in chaplain delivered compassion meditation may improve the spiritual care for patients receiving stem cell transplantation.

NCT ID: NCT06324266 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma

Study on the Efficacy and Safety of Low-dose CTX as Maintenance Therapy for MM Unsuitable for Transplantation

Start date: April 16, 2023
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The investigators will conduct randomized and controlled clinical studies in order to preliminarily explore the efficacy and safety of low-dose cyclophosphamide and lenalidomide in maintenance therapy for MM that is not suitable for transplantation in the standard-risk group.

NCT ID: NCT06304636 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Refractory Multiple Myeloma

Descartes-15 for Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma

DC15-MM-01
Start date: June 19, 2024
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase I dose-escalation study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and preliminary efficacy of an autologous BCMA-targeting RNA-engineered CAR T-cell therapy in patients with Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma. The cell product is referred to as Descartes-15

NCT ID: NCT06302699 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Detecting Minimal Residual Diseases (MRD) and Monitoring Clonal Evolution Using Ultrasensitive Chromosomal Aberrations Detection (UCAD) in Multiple Myeloma

Start date: May 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The presence of minimal residual disease (MRD) is an important prognostic factor for multiple myeloma, while copy number variation (CNV) is a widely accepted biomarker used for multiple myeloma (MM). Detecting MRD and monitoring clonal evolution by monitoring CNV using low-pass whole genome sequencing is promising due to its high analytical sensitivity. To evaluate the correlation between MRD detected by flow cytometry and low-pass whole genome sequencing, nearly 200 samples were collected for this study. We applied ultrasensitive chromosomal aberrations detection to detect CNV for each patient. The follow-up samples were then collected and sequencing used the same method.

NCT ID: NCT06297226 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials
