NCT ID: NCT05040464 Recruiting - Crohn Disease Clinical Trials

Comparison of Azathioprine to Methotrexate in Combination Therapy With Adalimumab in Crohn's Disease: an Open-label Randomized Controlled Trial

COMET
Start date: August 26, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Combination therapy, the association of an anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) to an immunosuppressant, is recognized as the most effective treatment during Crohn's disease (CD). Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain the superiority of combination therapy over monotherapy, the additive effect of two effective drugs or the prevention of anti-TNF immunogenicity. As the best combination therapy is unknown, both azathioprine (AZA) and methotrexate (MTX) are used. Some retrospective studies suggest a higher effectiveness of AZA. MTX may have an advantage in terms of safety. The investigators hypothesize that AZA is more effective than MTX as combination therapy with adalimumab to improve short-term endoscopic, clinical and pharmacological outcomes in CD patients.

NCT ID: NCT04299971 Recruiting - Treatment Clinical Trials

Efficiency of Methotrexate and Tofacitinib in Mild and Moderate Patients

Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Takayasu arteritis (TAK) is a rare chronic inflammatory arteritis, which lacks an effective well-accepted intervention strategy. Here we tried to classify TAK patients in 3 levels, including mild, moderate, and severe, and prescribe methotrexate and tofacitinib randomly in mild and moderate patients, to observe the relatively better treatment strategy, facilitating better intervention strategy in TAK patients.

NCT ID: NCT03107299 Recruiting - Methotrexate Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Impact of 3 Methods of Communication on the Adherence of Methotrexate in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

METHO-PR
Start date: July 1, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Methotrexate (MTX) is the first-line treatment for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Poor adherence of this treatment decreases the control of the disease and the effectiveness of the associated treatments. The aim would be to study the observance of patients with RA and to be able to propose adequate solutions favoring patient compliance and thus the stability of the pathology. For this purpose, 3 methods of communication have been put in place to encourage adherence: usual care by the rheumatologist, sms sending or pharmaceutical maintenance.

NCT ID: NCT02897011 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

2-week dc of MTX and Influenza Vaccination in RA

2 wk MTX
Start date: September 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To investigate whether a transient discontinuation of methotrexate MTX for 2 weeks improves the vaccination response to a seasonal influenza.
