NCT ID: NCT03589339 Recruiting - Immunotherapy Clinical Trials

NBTXR3 Activated by Radiotherapy for Patients With Advanced Cancers Treated With An Anti-PD-1 Therapy

Start date: January 16, 2019
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The 1100 study is an open-label, Phase I, dose escalation and expansion prospective clinical study to assess the safety of intratumoral injection of NBTXR3 activated by radiotherapy in combination with anti-PD-1 therapy.

NCT ID: NCT03587662 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Ixazomib, Gemcitabine, and Doxorubicin in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: August 17, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how well ixazomib, gemcitabine, and doxorubicin work in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body (locally advanced or metastatic). Ixazomib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine and doxorubicin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving ixazomib, gemcitabine, and doxorubicin may work better in treating patients with kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03575611 Suspended - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Oligometastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Start date: June 14, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how well stereotactic body radiation therapy works in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Stereotactic body radiation therapy uses special equipment to position a patient and deliver radiation to tumors with high precision. This method may kill tumor cells with fewer doses over a shorter period and cause less damage to normal tissue.

NCT ID: NCT03541902 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Cabozantinib or Sunitinib Malate in Treating Participants With Metastatic Variant Histology Renal Cell Carcinoma

Start date: May 15, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical research study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of cabozantinib and sunitinib when given to patients with metastatic (has spread) variant histology renal cell carcinoma (vhRCC), a type of kidney cancer. This is an investigational study. Cabozantinib and sunitinib are both FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of advanced kidney cancer, including vhRCC. The study doctor can explain how the study drugs are designed to work. Up to 84 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.

NCT ID: NCT03519542 Completed - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Epidemiological Study to Identify Prognosis and Predictive Biomarkers for Advanced or Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

SOGANG
Start date: November 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Multicentric and prospective epidemiological study (NON INTERVETIONAL) to identify prognosis and predictive biomarkers of response to sunitinib and pazopanib as first line therapy in metstatic renal cell carcinoma. Molecular determinations will be developed ay CIMA and CNIO.

NCT ID: NCT03494816 Completed - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Study of Axitinib for Reducing Extent of Venous Tumour Thrombus in Renal Cancer With Venous Invasion

NAXIVA
Start date: December 15, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

NAXIVA is a study of axitinib in patients with metastatic and non-metastatic renal cell carcinoma with venous invasion. Patients will be given axitinib (twice daily) for 8 weeks (at an escalated dose) and the response of the venous invasion will be assessed. Blood, urine and tumour tissue samples will be taken prior to and during therapy to evaluate biomarkers of treatment response. The primary objective is to assess the response of the thrombus to axitinib. Its thought that axitinib will reduce the extent of the thrombus in the inferior vena cava will reduce the extent of surgical intervention.

NCT ID: NCT03474497 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

UCDCC#272: IL-2, Radiotherapy, and Pembrolizumab in Patients Refractory to Checkpoint Blockade

Start date: May 20, 2019
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase I/II study that will evaluate the safety and toxicity of this combinatorial approach. Eligible patients >18 years of age with histologically proven metastatic NSCLC, melanoma, RCC, or HNSCC who have failed PD-1 / PD-L1 checkpoint blockade therapy will be enrolled. Patients must have a candidate treatment lesion (subcutaneous, nodal, or visceral) accessible and safe for radiotherapy and serial intralesional injections as specified by the protocol. They must also have at least one target lesion (distinct from treatment lesion and outside of treatment lesion radiation field) evaluable for response by RECIST. This study will consist of a phase I dose escalation using a standard 3+3 design to determine safety and MTD of intralesional IL-2 which will be dose escalated in conjunction with standard fixed doses of RT and Pembrolizumab. At the MTD there will be a phase II dose expansion which will incorporate a simon-two stage design to assess efficacy and safety. Patients will receive pembrolizumab and intralesional IL-2 in combination with hypofractionated radiotherapy.
