This phase II trial studies the effect of combining defactinib and VS-6766 in treating patients with uveal melanoma that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). The way cells communicate with one another (different cell signaling pathways) are overactive in uveal melanoma tumor cells. Giving defactinib together with VS-6766 may block pathways that are important for the growth of uveal melanoma cells, and may result in shrinkage or stabilization of the cancer and prolonged time to disease progression and survival.
Substudy 02D is part of a larger research study that is testing experimental treatments for melanoma, a type of skin cancer. The larger study is the umbrella study. The goal of substudy 02D is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of investigational treatment arms in programmed cell-death 1 (PD-1) naïve or PD-1 exposed participants with melanoma brain metastasis (MBM) and to identify the investigational agent(s) that, when used in combination, are superior to the current treatment options/historical control available. As of amendment 2 (effective 01DEC2022) enrollment into the treatment arm of pembrolizumab and lenvatinib has been discontinued.
CMP-001-011 is a Phase 2/3 study of CMP-001 intratumoral (IT) and nivolumab intravenous (IV) compared to nivolumab monotherapy administered to participants with unresectable or metastatic melanoma. The study is divided into two phases: Phase 2 and Phase 3. The primary objective of Phase 2 of the study is to determine confirmed objective response rate (ORR) for treatment with first-line CMP-001 in combination with nivolumab versus nivolumab monotherapy in subjects with unresectable or metastatic melanoma. The secondary objective of Phase 2 of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of first-line CMP-001 in combination with nivolumab versus nivolumab monotherapy in subjects with unresectable or metastatic melanoma. The primary objective of Phase 3 of the study is to evaluate progression-free survival (PFS) for subjects receiving first-line CMP-001 in combination with nivolumab versus nivolumab monotherapy for unresectable or metastatic melanoma. The secondary objectives of Phase 3 are to: - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of first-line CMP-001 in combination with nivolumab versus nivolumab monotherapy in subjects with unresectable or metastatic melanoma. - To evaluate the efficacy of first-line CMP-001 in combination with nivolumab versus nivolumab monotherapy in subjects with unresectable or metastatic melanoma.
The purpose of this study is to refine and pilot test educational material developed to educate and support patients receiving immunotherapy for advanced cancer. The intervention is an educational video and question prompt list (QPL) to promote communication between patients, caregivers, and the oncology team about the risks and benefits of immunotherapy.
The purpose of this study is to learn about the effects of three study medicines (encorafenib, binimetinib, and pembrolizumab) given together for the treatment of melanoma that: - is advanced or metastatic (spread to other parts of the body); - has a certain type of abnormal gene called "BRAF"; and - has not received prior treatment. All participants in this study will receive pembrolizumab at the study clinic once every 3 weeks as an intravenous (IV) infusion (given directly into a vein). In addition, half of the participants will take encorafenib and binimetinib orally (by mouth) at home every day. Participants may receive pembrolizumab for up to two years. Those participants taking encorafenib and binimetinib can continue until their melanoma is no longer responding. The study team will monitor how each participant is doing with the study treatment during regular visits at the study clinic.
In this study, we compared a negative pressure wound therapy, versus a conventional dressing in order to evaluate the most efficient wound therapy closure after axillary and inguinal lymph nodes dissections in the management of metastatic skin tumors. A vacuum assisted closure therapy should prevent these comorbidities.
This early phase I trial investigates how well radiation therapy, plasma exchange, and pembrolizumab or nivolumab work in treating patients with melanoma. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Plasma exchange (also known as "plasmapheresis") is a way to "clean" or "flush out" the blood. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab and nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Plasma exchange may help to improve the effect of standard radiation therapy and immunotherapy treatment on tumor cells of patients with melanoma.
A Phase 2 study to investigate the efficacy and safety of lerapolturev alone or in combination with a programmed death receptor-1 (anti-PD-1) inhibitor.
This is a phase 2, single arm, open label, adaptive design study to determine the preliminary anti-tumor activity and confirm the safety of IT BO-112 in combination with intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab. The study will enroll patients with advanced and/or metastatic melanoma that have progressed on anti-PD-1-containing treatment.
