Filter by:Meso-Immune is a retrospective study to assess the efficacy and safety of the combination of Nivolumab and Ipilimumab used in first-line treatment of adult patients with unresectable Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma (MPM). This combination of treatments has been approved in Europe since June 2021 based on the results of the CheckMate 743 study. In France, the combination is not yet reimbursed for this population of patients. However, since April 01, 2021, newly diagnosed unresectable MPM patients may be treated with this combination via an early access program. Meso-Immune study targets these patients included in the early access program with the objective to provide additional results to the CheckMate 743 study and confirm the benefit of using this combination in first-line of treatment in this category of patients. Total study duration will cover 48 months with an inclusion period of 12 months and a follow-up until 3 years. Patients will be recruited retrospectively starting April 01, 2021 until April 01, 2022. Meso-Immune study will be proposed to all the GFPC centers that have already included patients in the early access program and other centers wishing to participate, in order to analyze a minimum of 150 patients. The total number of sites is evaluated at around 120. The principal investigator in each center will identify the patients eligible for the Meso-Immune study and will inform them on the study according to the local regulations. Patient follow-up will be pursued regularly, in in-patient and out-patient clinics, according to the usual practices of the physicians in each participating center. Reevaluation workups will be pursued according to the practices of each center. The information related to Patient characteristics, MPM characteristics, Treatment characteristics, Disease progression, Rebiopsy, Post treatments, Adverse events, Date and cause of death, Date of last news will be recorded in electronic case-report forms (eCRF). Qualitative variables will be presented descriptively in the principal analysis.
This is an open-label, non-randomized, multicenter, translational Phase 1/2 dose-escalation and expansion study designed to determine the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity of RSO-021 after intrapleural (IP) administration in patients with malignant pleural effusion (MPE) (non-mesothelioma) and MPE from mesothelioma.
Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a highly aggressive tumor with atypical clinical manifestations. Most patients with MPM are at an advanced stage at the time of diagnosis, and only a few patients can be cured by radical surgery and other treatment measures. Pemetrexed + cisplatin chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab is still the standard treatment for MPM. In recent years, multimodality therapy including surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy have shown certain advantages in improving patient overall survival time. Targeted and immunotherapy may bring breakthroughs in MPM therapy. However, there are still no high-quality evidence-based medical evidence reports on the treatment model and effects of MPM patients in China. Focusing on MPM, we plan to systematically review the relevant scientific literature, confirm relevant scientific research questions, and provide references for related treatments. On this basis, we will estimate MPM incidence and mortality rates from 2014 to 2025 based on the data published by the National Cancer Registry. Meanwhile, a retrospective study cohort was constructed based on the electronic medical record database, and according to the research demand, patients were followed up with their post-discharge survival status to comprehensively describe and analyze the incidence, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of MPM patients. Also, exploratory analysis of the therapeutic effects of existing clinical treatments was conducted.
The purpose of this study is to find out whether IMPRINT in combination with pembrolizumab is a safe treatment for people with malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM).The highest dose of IMPRINT that causes few or mild side effects when given in combination with pembrolizumab will be found. Once the highest safe dose of IMPRINT is found, it will be tested in combination with pembrolizumab in future participants to see whether the combination may be an effective treatment for MPM.
The present study was a phase IV, post-marketing, observational study for safety evaluation of Alvopem® use in Iranian patients with non-small cell lung cancer and malignant pleural mesothelioma. No control groups were included in the study design. The primary objective of this study was safety assessment, including the incidence of AEs.

This is a single-arm, open, II phase study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Toripalimab, pemetrexed and carboplatin in the treatment of locally advanced malignant MPM in 15 newly diagnosed patients with locally advanced malignant MPM.
This study will examine the safety and potential effectiveness of poly-ICLC directly injected into malignant pleural mesothelioma at the time of biopsy up to 21 days prior to the cancer being removed by the surgeon
A significant number of patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are not cured with available treatments and will eventually relapse. After relapse treatment options are limited. Preclinical in vitro studies have demonstrated a synergism of immunotherapy with PD(L)1-targeting monoclonal antibodies and gemcitabine and ongoing clinical studies showed encouraging results. The main objective of this trial is to determine the efficacy of chemotherapy (gemcitabine) combined with immunotherapy (atezolizumab) in patients with progressive NSCLC and MPM. The trial treatments will be continued for max. 2 years or until discontinuation criteria are met. The follow-up phase will last up to 5 years from treatment start.
Pilot study of the feasibility of an innovative multimodal treatment combining intrapleural photodynamic therapy with videothoracoscopy followed by adjuvant immunotherapy with anti-PD-1 Nivolumab antibodies in patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma
