NCT ID: NCT05177679 Recruiting - Cognitive Change Clinical Trials

Enhancing Children's Cognitive Function and Achievement Through Carotenoid Consumption

Start date: June 23, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to test the casual relationship between carotenoid supplementation, cognitive function, and achievement over a school-year. The central hypothesis is that, relative to the waitlist placebo group, children receiving the carotenoid supplement will exhibit greater gains in cognitive function and achievement.

NCT ID: NCT03321253 Completed - Retinal Detachment Clinical Trials

Changes of Macular Pigment and Parameters of Eyes After YAG Laser Treatment in Cases With Capsule Opacification

Start date: October 23, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It has been hypothesized that potential effects of laser Nd: YAG laser posterior capsulotomy may affect macular pigment as well as choroidal thickness, macular thickness and anterior chamber parameters, so it was aimed to investigate possible effects of Nd: YAG laser posterior capsulotomy on macular pigment optical density, choroidal thickness, macular thickness and anterior chamber parameters in cases with posterior capsule opacification in this study.

NCT ID: NCT03022773 Recruiting - Skin Pigment Clinical Trials

Macular Pigment Measurements in Eye & Other Tissues

Start date: June 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to understand the role of nutrition and its effects on the eye and other tissues. The investigators propose to study this by validating and correlating various non-invasive measurement methods of carotenoid concentrations in the human eye and skin tissue. A secondary objective is to correlate blood levels of carotenoids on a sub-set of participants.
