Start date: November 29, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To compare brolucizumab to aflibercept in Chinese patients with untreated active choroidal neovascularization (CNV) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD)

NCT ID: NCT04018482 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Retinopathy

Povidone Iodine vs AVEnova: A Pre-injection Disinfection Study (PAVE Study)

PAVE
Start date: July 16, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

To compare the efficacy and comfort of two FDA approved pre-injection antiseptics when used for intravitreal injections.

NCT ID: NCT04005352 Completed - Clinical trials for Age-related Macular Degeneration

Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Brolucizumab 6mg Compared to Aflibercept 2 mg in a Treat-to-control Regimen (TALON)

TALON
Start date: September 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This was a 64-week randomized, double-masked, multi-center, active-controlled, two-arm study in patients with neovascular age related macular degeneration (nAMD) who have not previously received anti- vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03969303 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Macular Edema

NOTAL-OCT V.2.5 vs Commercial OCT in AMD Patients

Start date: October 20, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Primary objective: To evaluate the level of agreement between the NOTAL-OCT V2.5 and a commercial OCT in the presence of fluid as identified in the OCT images, in the central 10 degrees of the macula in AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration) patients. Secondary objectives: 1. To evaluate the level of agreement between the NOTAL-OCT V2.5 and a commercial OCT in the presence of fluid as identified in the OCT images, in the central 10 degrees of the macula in DME (Diabetic Macular Edema) patients. 2. To evaluate patient experience when self-operating the Notal-OCT V2.5.

NCT ID: NCT03958461 Completed - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

Connection Between Periodontitis and Exudative Age-related Macular Degeneration

FLAREPARO
Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aqueous flare is increased in different kind of inflammations of eye. This is caused by disruption of blood-aqueous-barrier. The investigators assume that low grade systemic inflammation, such as periodontitis, increase aqueous flare and possibly activates exudative age-related macular degeneration.

NCT ID: NCT03956797 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Retinopathy

Long Term Safety of Cooling Anesthesia for Intravitreal Injection

COOL-2
Start date: April 15, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate the long term safety and efficacy of cooling anesthesia application to the eye as anesthesia for intravitreal injection using a novel cooling anesthesia device.

NCT ID: NCT03954626 Completed - Clinical trials for Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Study to Collect Safety and ECG Data on Brolucizumab 6 mg Intravitreal Treatment in Patients With Wet AMD

Start date: June 7, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to collect ECG data after a single IVT injection of brolucizumab 6 mg in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).

NCT ID: NCT03953079 Completed - Clinical trials for Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration

A Depot Formulation of Sunitinib Malate (GB-102) Compared to Aflibercept in Subjects With Wet AMD

ALTISSIMO
Start date: September 26, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Phase 2b, multicenter, visual examiner-masked, randomized active-controlled, parallel-arm design study to evaluate the safety and duration of repeated IVT injections of 3 dose levels of GB-102 compared with aflibercept.

NCT ID: NCT03946085 Completed - Clinical trials for Age-related Macular Degeneration

Evaluation of a New Eye-specific Multivitamin Formula in Participants at Risk of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

AMD
Start date: January 19, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical benefits in visual function from dietary supplementation of the Lumega-Z carotenoid liquid-supplement in participants with drusen and at risk of AMD. The effects of Lumega-Z supplementation will be compared to an active comparator, the AREDS2 multivitamin.

NCT ID: NCT03939767 Completed - Clinical trials for Wet Age-related Macular Degeneration

Assessment of Proactive Treatments in Patients With Wet Age-related Macular Degeneration (wAMD) Which Have Never Undergone Treatment of This Particular Disease

XTEND
Start date: May 12, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this observational study researchers want to learn more about changes in visual acuity (clarity of vision) with proactive flexible treatments over time in patients suffering from wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD) after decision to treat with Aflibercept (Eylea) was made. Wet AMD is an eye disease that progressively destroys the macula, the central portion of the retina, impairing central vision.
