View clinical trials related to Lumbar Disc Herniation.
Filter by:Our primary objective is to design a cohort to determine the treatment outcome of different surgical interventions of the degenerative lumbar spine highlighting the expediency and value of the current surgical treatment program.
Lumbar disc herniation, which causes 5% of all low back pain, is the rupture of the annulus fibrosis in the intervertebral disc in the lumbar region and the protrusion of the nucleus pulposus at various degrees, and as a result, the spinal cord or the nerves arising from it are compressed.Aerobic exercise is one of the most important elements in low back pain rehabilitation. Many studies have shown that individuals with low back pain have low muscle strength of the back extensors and flexors when compared to individuals who do not show symptoms, and that these muscles are strong and their aerobic fitness is high, minimizing trauma-related musculoskeletal damage. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of core stabilization exercises on functionality and core muscles in patients with LDH.
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to investigate whether modified enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) in oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) can shorten the postoperative hospital stay among patients with lumbar degenerative disease. The main questions it aims to answer are: Whether ERAS can shorten the postoperative hospital stay. Whether modified ERAS can improve postoperative functional recovery, improve functional score and pain score, reduce hospitalization costs, improve mental state, and improve abdominal indicators, etc. Participants will be randomized into modified ERAS group, or control group.
The study aims to study the effect of intraoperative epidural application of anesthetic cocktail following endoscopic lumbar discectomy in improving postoperative pain, length of hospital stay, time at first dose analgesia, post-operative opioid consumption, functional outcomes, time return to work, and postoperative complications
Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is the most frequent cause of lumbosacral radiculopathy and account for 39% of chronic low back pain cases. In approximately 95% of cases LDH occurs at L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels. Maintaining functional stability of lumbar spine necessitates strengthening of the core muscles that plays a key role in lumbar strengthening, motor control and core stability. Core stability may play a role in passive disc stability, reducing the pressure on disc, relieving nerve impingement and radiating pain. Neural mobilization technique involves manual mobilization or exercise that promotes movement between and around the neural structures. This study is intended to add to the existing literature regarding patients with lumbar radiculopathy due to disc herniation, and to report the effectiveness of core stabilization exercises with and without neural mobilization technique in respective population in reduction of associated symptoms, pain and functional disability, enhancing the quality of life, and restoring a prior functional status and activity potential.
to investigate the effect of electromagnetic field therapy on sciatica and postural control in lumbar disc prolapse patients BACKGROUND: lumbar disc prolapse is a clinical condition resulting from compression of lumbar nerve roots resulting in decreased postural control and alleviating sciatic pain Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is an easy, non-invasive, safe, and relatively new treatment method that is used with growing interest in physical and rehabilitation medicine. Historically, the benefits from magnetotherapy have been reported for patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders
In this clinical trial, equivalence is evaluated by exploratory comparison of changes in X-Ray lesions with test group (Cerazem Master V6) and control group (physical therapy) in patients with intervertebral disc herniation and degenerative stenosis.
The purpose of this retrospective chart review study is to collect the data that will be used to provide clinical evidence to support the post-market surveillance program.
The regional methods of anesthesia for the neurosurgical operations of the spine and spinal cord reducing the needs for opioids intra operatively and reducing pain in the postoperative period, decrease the numbers of failed back syndrome.
This study applies 3D-printed customized guide plate in assisting the accurate puncture in transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) combined with pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) treatment. This technique can shorten reduce the intra-operative radiation, and do not affect the surgical outcome.
