Filter by:It is believed that imiquimod 5% cream has the potential to be an effective treatment for actinic keratoses. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the duration of the effect of topical imiquimod 5% topical cream for the treatment of actinic keratoses.
Actinic keratosis (AK) is a skin condition that shows up on skin routinely exposed to the sun, such as the face, scalp, shoulders, chest, back, arms, and hands. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of one, two, or three cycles of imiquimod for the treatment of AK. The AK lesions treated can be in adjacent and nonadjacent areas of the head, torso, and extremities. The total surface area for the AK lesions must be greater than 25 cm2. The secondary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment with imiquimod in people with large surface areas of AK.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of imiquimod 5% cream compared to vehicle cream in the treatment of Actinic Keratosis (AK) on the arm and/or hand when the cream is applied once daily 2 days per week for 16 weeks.
This is a 1-year follow-up study to evaluate the long-term effects in subjects who completely cleared their actinic keratosis (AK) lesions in the 1473-IMIQ study. The 1473-IMIQ study evaluated the safety and effectiveness of imiquimod 5% cream compared to a placebo cream for the treatment of AK.
Study Aims: - To compare the long-term efficacy and safety of imiquimod versus vehicle used as an adjunct to cryotherapy. - To assess and compare the recurrence rate and time to recurrence of the 2 different treatment groups. Hypothesis: The imiquimod arm will produce a more prolonged clearing of Actinic Keratoses (AK) compared to the vehicle arm.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether topical application of PEP005 is safe for the treatment of actinic keratoses.
RATIONALE: Photodynamic therapy uses a drug that becomes active when it is exposed to a certain kind of light. When the drug is active, tumor cells are killed. Photodynamic therapy using silicon phthalocyanine 4 may be effective against skin cancer. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of photodynamic therapy using silicon phthalocyanine 4 in treating participants with actinic keratosis, Bowen's disease, skin cancer, or stage I or stage II mycosis fungoides.
This randomized phase II trial is studying how well T4N5 liposomal lotion works in preventing the recurrence of nonmelanoma skin cancer in patients who have undergone a kidney transplant. Chemoprevention therapy is the use of certain drugs to try to prevent the development of or recurrence of cancer. T4N5 liposomal lotion may be effective preventing the recurrence of nonmelanoma skin cancer in patients who have undergone a kidney transplant.
RATIONALE: Chemoprevention therapy is the use of certain drugs to try to prevent the development or recurrence of cancer. Eflornithine with or without triamcinolone may be effective in preventing nonmelanoma skin cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to compare the effectiveness of eflornithine with or without triamcinolone in preventing nonmelanoma skin cancer in patients who have actinic keratosis.
