To examine the combined effects of Yellow CPPNLT and conventional treatment on pain intensity, pain pressure threshold, functional disability, and muscle strength in athletic jumper knee. 2. To examine the combined effects of Green CPPNLT and conventional treatment on pain intensity, pain pressure threshold, functional disability, and muscle strength in athletic jumper knee. 3 3- To compare between the effects of Yellow CPPNLT and Green CPPNLT on pain intensity, pain pressure threshold, functional disability, and muscle strength in athletic jumper knee.
The study is a 12-week human study where 60 participants with chronic patellar tendinopathy (more than 3 months symptoms duration) are randomised to undergo 12 weeks of targeted resistance exercise either in the morning or in the late afternoon. The overall aim is to investigate when the best time of the day to perform muscular strength training therapy towards tendinopathy is. The study will also include 10 healthy controls who will not perform any exercise training.
The purpose of the present project is to investigate if the restitution time from loading in an exercise-based 12 weeks rehabilitation regime for patellar tendinopathy influences the clinical outcome, tendon structure and function. The investigators hypothesize that greater restitution from loading (1 exercise day per week) will yield a greater positive clinical outcome, and tissue structure and function in patients with patellar tendinopathy compared to less restitution (3 exercise days per week), when impact activities are restricted in both groups.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical and functional outcome of a 12-week rehabilitation regime consisting of Low-Load Blood Flow Restriction compared to Heavy-Slow Resistance training in male patients with chronic unilateral patellar tendinopathy.
The purpose of this project is to investigate the efficacy of Inertial Flywheel Resistance program vs Heavy slow resistance in patients with chronic patellar tendinopathy. The investigators hypothesize that Inertial Flywheel Resistance program will yield a more positive clinical outcome and function in patients with patellar tendinopathy compared to heavy slow resistance group.
This pilot study will evaluate the feasibility of pain-guided activity modification during rehabilitation for patellar tendinopathy. The information provided will be utilized to conduct a larger randomized clinical trial to determine if there is a difference in recovery from patellar tendinopathy during rehabilitation between individuals that use pain-guided activity modification and those that halt all painful activities. Recovery from patellar tendinopathy will be assessed using pain ratings, tendon-specific outcome measures, tendon structure, tendon mechanical properties, and muscle function.
The purpose of this project is to investigate if the magnitude of a loading based 12 weeks rehabilitation regime for patellar tendinopathy influence the clinical outcome, tendon structure and function. The investigators hypothesize that a greater magnitude (90% of 1RM) of loading will yield a more positive clinical outcome, tendon structure and function in patients with patellar tendinopathy compared to a lower magnitude of loading (55% of 1 RM) when total exercise volume is equal in both groups.
The purpose of this study is: - To examine the effect of infra patellar strap treatment on the extent of pain and jumping performance tasks in young male athletes diagnosed with patellar tendinopathy. - 40 elite male athletes, basketball and volleyball players, ages 14-18, students of the academy for sports Excellency will take part in this study - Hypothesis 1: The treatment of infra patellar strap will reduce the level of pain during jumping performance tasks. - Hypothesis 2: The treatment of infra patellar strap will improve the squat jump height in athletes with patellar tendinopathy during squat jump task. - Hypothesis 3: The treatment of infra patellar strap will improve the drop jump height in athletes with patellar tendinopathy during drop jump task. - Hypothesis 4: The treatment of infra patellar strap will improve the one leg jump height in athletes with patellar tendinopathy during one leg jump task. - Hypothesis 5: The treatment of infra patellar strap will improve the 30 seconds repetitive jumps mean height in athletes with patellar tendinopathy during 30 seconds repetitive jumps task.
