NCT ID: NCT01651507 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

Evaluation of Outcome of Adult Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis Based on Lung HRCT and Lung Function

HLP
Start date: June 1989
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

this is a multicenter retrospective study on patients with pulmonary LCH who were sequentially evaluated by concomitant lung HRCT and lung function testing. The objectives of this study were: 1) to determine the changes over time of lung function parameters in patients with pulmonary LCH; 2) to compare the variations of HRCT and lung function results during follow-up; 3) to address the respective interest of these investigations for identifying the patients who eventually will experience a progression of their disease.

NCT ID: NCT01473797 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis of Lung

Evaluation of Efficacy and Tolerance of Cladribine in Symptomatic Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

ECLA
Start date: November 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

ECLA is a phase II, multicenter study testing sub cutaneous cladribine 0.1mg/kg/j during 5 days, administrated every month for 4 courses, in symptomatic adult patients with pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis and impairment of lung function patients.

NCT ID: NCT01395004 Completed - Clinical trials for Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

A Study to Test the Ability of and Safety of GSK2110183 in Treating Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

Start date: November 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to assess safety and efficacy at months 3 and 6 in patients with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis given daily oral doses of GSK2110183.

NCT ID: NCT01273766 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Mantle Cell Lymphoma

Deferasirox in Treating Iron Overload Caused By Blood Transfusions in Patients With Hematologic Malignancies

Start date: January 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Deferasirox may remove excess iron from the body caused by blood transfusions. PURPOSE: This clinical trial studies deferasirox in treating iron overload caused by blood transfusions in patients with hematologic malignancies.

NCT ID: NCT01225718 Completed - Histiocytosis Clinical Trials

Ceftriaxone in Non-neutropenic Fever

Start date: August 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This is a retrospective chart review of all patients cared for at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt including the following: - patients between 2007-2009 with malignancy, Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) or hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and a central venous catheter who were under 23 years of age at time of diagnosis in order to ascertain the associated symptoms, management and outcome of all episodes of non-neutropenic fever. - to identify a subset of low-risk patients that can be safely managed without use of empiric antibiotics.

NCT ID: NCT01225601 Completed - Clinical trials for Adult Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

Prospective Evaluation of Adult Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

LCHA1
Start date: May 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Study objectives: - To estimate the incidence of pulmonary deterioration in adult pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis - To assess the impact of tobacco discontinuation - Study Design Multicentric prospective cohort study - Main endpoint: Pulmonary deterioration - Sample size : 40 patients

NCT ID: NCT01050439 Terminated - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Unrelated Donor Transplant for Malignant and Non-Malignant Disorders

Start date: November 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Unrelated matched donor (cord blood, bone marrow or peripheral blood) allogeneic stem cell transplantation (UDAlloSCT) with either myeloablative or reduced intensity conditioning will be well tolerated and result in a high degree of engraftment in patients with selected malignant and non malignant disorders.

NCT ID: NCT01049854 Completed - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

CD34+Selection for Partially Matched Family or Matched Unrelated Adult Donor Transplant

Start date: September 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

CD34+ stem cell selection in children, adolescents and young adults receiving partially matched family donor or matched unrelated adult donor allogeneic bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell transplant will be safe and well tolerated and be associated with a low incidence of serious (Grade III/IV) acute and chronic graft versus host disease (GVHD).

NCT ID: NCT00890747 Completed - Clinical trials for Unspecified Adult Solid Tumor, Protocol Specific

Sunitinib Malate in Treating HIV-Positive Patients With Cancer Receiving Antiretroviral Therapy

Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of sunitinib malate in treating human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive patients with cancer receiving antiretroviral therapy. Sunitinib malate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.

NCT ID: NCT00618540 Terminated - Clinical trials for Histiocytosis, Langerhans-cell

Reduced Intensity Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation for Patients With Resistant Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis

Start date: January 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Giving a monoclonal antibody, such as alemtuzumab, and chemotherapy drugs, such as fludarabine and melphalan, before a donor stem cell transplant helps stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells and helps stop the growth of abnormal cells. When the healthy stem cells from a donor are infused into the patient they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving cyclosporine and mycophenolate mofetil before and after transplant may stop this from happening. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving alemtuzumab together with fludarabine and melphalan followed by a donor stem cell transplant works in treating young patients with resistant Langerhans cell histiocytosis.
