Eligibility Inclusion Criteria:

- Pediatric Patients with thalassemia major.

- Pediatric Patients with congenital heart disease undergoing surgical repair.

Exclusion Criteria:

- known hepatic or renal disease

- uncontrolled active hemolytic reaction

- emergency surgery

- redo surgery
