The study evaluates patients with clinical evidence of post-surgical hematoma / seroma after hip replacement surgery. These patients will undergo ultrasound evaluation in the 4th (+/- 2) day post surgery, in which triaxial parameters of the hematoma will be measured. This evaluation will then be repeated after 5 treatment sessions with ENF (Electro Neuro Feedback). The patient will then be subjected to evaluation scales that allow to evaluate the subjective improvement of the state of well-being after treatment ENF (Electro Neuro Feedback) generates waveforms that change automatically when the impedance of the skin changes according to a compensation algorithm, i.e. according to Feedback (Feedback). The incidence and correlation of symptomatic epidural hematomas after cervical spine surgery was reviewed and analyzed, then it will provide reference to avoid the occurrence of this complication for the future clinical work.
Traumatic brain injury is a common neurosurgical emergency managed in all tertiary and secondary hospitals. Detecting the underlying pathology is a major challenge especially for surgical cases. The outcome differs if the early intervention is performed. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) based device will detect the hematoma at the bedside. It is not the replacement of a CT scan but can help in triage. This is a large-scale prospective study to establish the role of NIRS device in detecting intracerebral hematoma and correlate the finding with CT scan finding.
Evaluate the effect of the PICO medical device, compared to the Opsite Post-Op Visible medical device, in reducing the formation of postsurgical hematoma in the surgical wound of patients at high risk of local complications, undergoing hip arthroplasty
The study will assess acute intracerebral hematoma expansion within the first 48 hours from the onset using transcranial duplex sonography in patients who have acute intracerebral hematoma , and will also assess the correlation between the transcranial duplex sonography measurements and the clinical outcome of these patients .
Normobaric oxygen therapy was shown to be effective in reducing post craniotomy pneumocephalus. Theoretical assessment of normobaric oxygen therapy in treating pneumocephalus has shown that a higher level of oxygen concentration will significantly decrease the time for absorption of pneumocephalus. The therapeutic efficacy is not fully established in patients with chronic subdural hematoma after burr hole drainage. Both radiological outcomes and clinical outcomes would be evaluated.
The aim of this study is to compare the effect of ultra-sound guided serratus anterior plane block versus conventional IV analgesics in postoperative pain management in modified radical mastectomy (MRM)
Study evaluating if active irrigation by IRRAflow® with infusion of tPA will reduce the time needed for clearance of intracerebral and intraventricular hemorrhage compared with passive drainage.
The investigators objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of hematoma block versus intravenous regional anesthesia (Bier block) during closed reduction of distal radius fractures.
