NCT ID: NCT05656313 Completed - Clinical trials for Hearing Loss, Bilateral

PRINCE22 System Complete Performance Study

Start date: November 3, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigation proposes to compare a narrow reference beamformer to a novel beamformer approach, when the talker is not in front of the hearing aid user and in the presence of background noise. The beamformer effect will be determined in terms of speech intelligibility, listening effort and ability to multitask when the talkers are located on the side or in the back.

NCT ID: NCT05379231 Completed - Unilateral Deafness Clinical Trials

Evaluation of BiCROS Fitting Benefits

Start date: July 11, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

23 candidates for BiCROS hearing aids will be recruited and fitted with a hearing aid and a CROS device. Following a real-world trial, each participant will be tested on a range of outcome measures including speech recognition in noise, ratings of listening effort, and ratings of preference.

NCT ID: NCT05073796 Completed - Deafness, Bilateral Clinical Trials

Cochlear Implant Electrostimulation and the Influence on the Vestibular Organ

Start date: September 9, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

There is evidence that the sensor function of the utricle in patients with bilateral labyrinthine dysfunction (bilateral vestibulopathy) may improve balance under the influence of high frequency basal stimulation of the cochlea. The aim of the study is to measure the possible co-stimulation of the utricle (which is determined by the SVV) by tonotopic (frequency-specific) cochlear stimulation and thus to objectify whether the stimulation of the auditory nerve in CI patients also leads to an unavoidable co-stimulation of the vestibular system.

NCT ID: NCT05052944 Completed - Hearing Loss Clinical Trials

Single-sided Deafness and Cochlear Implantation

Start date: November 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This observational study evaluates the effects of cochlear implantation in patients with deafness in one ear.

NCT ID: NCT04427033 Completed - Hearing Loss Clinical Trials

The BCI 602 BONEBRIDGE Post-Market Clinical Follow-up Study

Start date: December 6, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The Bonebridge system using the BCI 601 is marketed since 2012. Previous prospective, multi-center, non-randomized studies on the BCI 601 Bonebridge performed in adult and paediatric populations have shown a significant improvement in terms of aided sound field (SF) thresholds, word recognition scores (WRS), speech reception thresholds (SRT) and subjective device satisfaction. Safety was established by stable residual hearing and low complication rates. The Bonebridge, implanted in over 600 clinics worldwide, is the world's first active transcutaneous bone conduction implant (BCI) system. This study now focuses on the further developed BCI 602 (marketed since 2019) that has the same indication criteria and performance characteristics. The aim of this post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF) study is to provide clinical data for the long-term performance and safety when implanted with the Bonebridge BCI 602 .

NCT ID: NCT03929809 Completed - Clinical trials for Hearing Loss, Unilateral

Iowa Cochlear Implant Clinical Research Center Study of SSD Using Med-El Cochlear Implants

Start date: June 20, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to understand the speech perception in noise and in quiet and localization benefits in a laboratory setting in listeners that receive a cochlear implant in an ear with severe to profound hearing loss and have normal, or near-normal hearing in the opposite ear. We will also evaluate the functional benefit of restoring hearing to the impaired ear via questionnaires that subjects will be answering while listening in their natural environment.

NCT ID: NCT03807713 Completed - Mixed Hearing Loss Clinical Trials

Clinical Study of Minimally Invasive Ponto Surgical Technique (MIPS) - Design Iteration

Start date: September 7, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of the study is to compare the outcomes after a surgical procedure with minimally invasive Ponto surgery (MIPS, test group) and tissue preservation surgery (control) for placing Oticon Medical Ponto implants and abutments.

NCT ID: NCT03587792 Completed - Clinical trials for Unilateral Hearing Loss

Study of Binaural Squelch Effect in Unilateral Otosclerosis

CBOU
Start date: March 6, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Patients with unilateral transmission hypoacusis due to otosclerosis undergoing stapedectomy surgery will be prospectively included. They will be undergoing a free field vocal audiometry using the Oldenburg MATRIX software to evaluated the squelch effect gain between audiometry before and after 9months after surgery. Our hypothesis is to show a squelch effect with the rehabilitation of the binaural audition.

NCT ID: NCT03509974 Completed - Clinical trials for Unilateral Mixed Conductive and Sensorineural Hearing Loss (Diagnosis)

Early Experience of a New Implant System for Bone Conduction Hearing in the Pediatric Population

OSIA Pediatric
Start date: April 18, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To study the initial experience with implanting and fitting a new Bone Conduction system in pediatric patient population with conductive, mixed or single-sided deafness.

NCT ID: NCT03333577 Completed - Clinical trials for Hearing Loss, Conductive

Evaluation of the Baha SoundArc in Pediatric Patients

Start date: November 2, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to gather clinical performance data on the Baha SoundArc
