Filter by:The study is to show the new salt formulation of GSK372475 is equivalent to the old salt formulation of GSK372475.
Based on a need for a pediatric formulation of eltrombopag for the treatment of pediatric thrombocytopenia, this study will help determine the best tasting pediatric formulation of eltrombopag. Healthy adult volunteers who are able to taste bitterness and who do not have a high sensitivity to bitterness will be enrolled. The subjects will evaluate different formulations and rate them based on the bitterness and effectiveness of sweetners. The outcome of this study will help support a decision for a new pediatric formulation of eltrombopag.
To assess the combined effects of fosamprenavir 700mg BID + ritonavir 100mg BID + standardized dose of methadone, on plasma total and unbound methadone enantiomer pharmacokinetics (PK), opiate pharmacodynamic (PD) measures, and safety. The effect of methadone on plasma amprenavir PK will also be assessed by comparison to historical control data.
The rationale for this study is to determine whether GW856553 (7.5mg BD for 28 days) has an effect on endothelial function in dyslipidaemic subjects as assessed by venous occlusion plethysmography using brachial artery acetylcholine infusion. This will establish consistency with preclinical findings, as well as confirm a physiologic human response at the current safe maximal dose. Safety (specifically serum liver function testing) and tolerability will also be evaluated in this trial.
The purpose of this study is to look at how much of a new drug, GSK598809 binds to specific proteins in the brain and how much stays in the blood over a range of different doses.
This is a first time in human study to investigate the safety of GSK626616AC given as oral single and repeat doses in healthy subjects. An additional group of subjects will be assessed to determine the effect of several drugs given at the same time as GSK626616.
SB-742510 is a semi-synthetic pleuromutilin antibiotic that is being developed for treatment of respiratory infections. The purpose of this study is to estimate the bioavailability of four different formulations and to evaluate the safety of each of the four formulations
The purpose of this study is to look at how much of a new drug, GSK163090, binds to proteins in the brain and how much stays in the blood over a range of different doses. This study will use a medical imaging technique called Positron Emission Tomography (PET) which uses an imaging agent called [11C]-WAY100635.
This study will investigate the effect of smoking on the metabolism of a single oral dose of GW876008.
Data suggests that imaging activity of the brain can measure the effects of anti-anxiety drugs. This study will investigate the effect of GW876008 on areas of the brain involved with thinking and emotion
