NCT ID: NCT00488098 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

GSK372475 Bioequivalence Study

Start date: July 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The study is to show the new salt formulation of GSK372475 is equivalent to the old salt formulation of GSK372475.

NCT ID: NCT00487968 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Eltrombopag Taste Testing in Healthy Adult Volunteers

Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Based on a need for a pediatric formulation of eltrombopag for the treatment of pediatric thrombocytopenia, this study will help determine the best tasting pediatric formulation of eltrombopag. Healthy adult volunteers who are able to taste bitterness and who do not have a high sensitivity to bitterness will be enrolled. The subjects will evaluate different formulations and rate them based on the bitterness and effectiveness of sweetners. The outcome of this study will help support a decision for a new pediatric formulation of eltrombopag.

NCT ID: NCT00481182 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Co-Administration Of Fosamprenavir With Methadone: A Drug Interaction Study.

Start date: February 2005
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To assess the combined effects of fosamprenavir 700mg BID + ritonavir 100mg BID + standardized dose of methadone, on plasma total and unbound methadone enantiomer pharmacokinetics (PK), opiate pharmacodynamic (PD) measures, and safety. The effect of methadone on plasma amprenavir PK will also be assessed by comparison to historical control data.

NCT ID: NCT00474864 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Study To Evaluate The Effects Of GW856553 On Endothelial Function/Vascular Compliance In Subjects With Dyslipidaemia.

Start date: July 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The rationale for this study is to determine whether GW856553 (7.5mg BD for 28 days) has an effect on endothelial function in dyslipidaemic subjects as assessed by venous occlusion plethysmography using brachial artery acetylcholine infusion. This will establish consistency with preclinical findings, as well as confirm a physiologic human response at the current safe maximal dose. Safety (specifically serum liver function testing) and tolerability will also be evaluated in this trial.

NCT ID: NCT00468806 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Study of Safety, Blood Levels and Brain Receptor Occupancy of GSK598809 Using PET Imaging in Health Males.

Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to look at how much of a new drug, GSK598809 binds to specific proteins in the brain and how much stays in the blood over a range of different doses.

NCT ID: NCT00443170 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

A Placebo-controlled Study to Investigate the Safety, and Pharmacokinetics of Oral GSK626616AC in Healthy Subjects

Start date: November 2006
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a first time in human study to investigate the safety of GSK626616AC given as oral single and repeat doses in healthy subjects. An additional group of subjects will be assessed to determine the effect of several drugs given at the same time as GSK626616.

NCT ID: NCT00436228 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

To Study And Compare Bioavailability And Safety Of Four Different Formulations Of The Study Drug

Start date: November 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

SB-742510 is a semi-synthetic pleuromutilin antibiotic that is being developed for treatment of respiratory infections. The purpose of this study is to estimate the bioavailability of four different formulations and to evaluate the safety of each of the four formulations

NCT ID: NCT00435695 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Study Of Safety, Blood Levels, And Brain Receptor Occupancy Of GSK163090 Using PET Imaging In Healthy Males

Start date: November 2006
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to look at how much of a new drug, GSK163090, binds to proteins in the brain and how much stays in the blood over a range of different doses. This study will use a medical imaging technique called Positron Emission Tomography (PET) which uses an imaging agent called [11C]-WAY100635.

NCT ID: NCT00429728 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

A Study To Investigate The Metabolism Of GW876008 In Smokers Compared To Non-Smokers.

Start date: November 2006
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will investigate the effect of smoking on the metabolism of a single oral dose of GW876008.

NCT ID: NCT00424697 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

A Study to Investigate the Effects of GW876008 on Brain Activation During Emotional Processing in Healthy Subjects.

Start date: March 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Data suggests that imaging activity of the brain can measure the effects of anti-anxiety drugs. This study will investigate the effect of GW876008 on areas of the brain involved with thinking and emotion
