Filter by:The aim of this project is to improve the integration of digital processes, including e-prescriptions, within medical and dental practices for healthcare professionals. Through a better understanding of the obstacles healthcare workers encounter during the adoption of digital processes and their feedback post-implementation, this study will add to the current state of science, contributing to digital process optimization in healthcare.
The objective of the proposed research is to develop and pilot a locally-relevant, multicomponent intervention to streamline the triage process (e.g. patient assessment, stabilization, and disposition) for pediatric injury patients in Tanzania. This health systems intervention will work at the first level of medical contact (e.g., health center and district hospital), in order to facilitate timely disposition and referrals, and subsequently decrease time to definitive care. The proposed study has three aims: 1) With a mixed methods approach, describe the barriers to pediatric injury care at the first medical contact; 2) Iteratively develop the P-KIDs CARE intervention using a nominal group technique and conduct a pre-implementation assessment and refinement; 3) Pilot the P-KIDs CARE intervention and perform an implementation-focused formative evaluation. The proposed study focuses on pediatric injury patients and the family members and healthcare providers that care for them in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The investigators will recruit pediatric injury patients, family members, and healthcare providers from 2 health facilities in the Kilimanjaro Region.
The purpose with this study is to test if the app-based stress management program StressProffen, can be of interest and support for stress management among health care providers.
This is a single-center, unblinded, pragmatic randomized controlled trial comparing family participation in cardiac ICU team rounds with usual care. We will recruit 112 family members. The primary outcome will be family member care satisfaction. Secondary outcomes will include family mental health and care engagement. The beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge of healthcare providers, including medical trainees, about family participation in rounds will be evaluated prior to and following the intervention.

Application of health information technology be able to solve a lot of problems of medical management, and effective actions to achieve the purpose of medical care. The "Personal Health Record" (PHR), so that patients can have, access and update their health records and share health information to a new healthcare provider can avoid the duplication of a clinic procedures, reduce medical costs and time, and can make an appointment online, tracking vaccinations, check drug allergy, master with health-related information such as exercise, diet condition, and have no time constraints to the hospital clinic. In the future, PHR is expected to reduce medical errors, reduce costs, effective use of medical resources. Purpose of this study is to understand the impact to the staff's attitude and intention when they use the PHR, and to explore the medical records of personal health awareness and intention to use the relevant factors, the research result will be a reference to government authority or medical institutions in order to promote personal health record system in Taiwan. In this study, there will include the medical staff of three hospitals in Taipei, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM model) based structured questionnaire will be used, questionnaire had tested by validity and reliability. The electronic questionnaires will be used, and apply the software SPSS and Amos17.0 descriptive and inferential statistical analysis.
