Filter by:The study is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of three doses of GBS NN/NN2 with Alhydrogel® (Recombinant protein vaccine against Group B Streptococcus) in elderly participants aged 55 to 75.Participants will be followed up to 6 months after last vaccination.
Group B Streptococcus (GBS) infection is a potential aetiology of meningitis and septicemia in neonates, pregnant women and non-pregnant adults. Because the GBS disease burden is unknown in Malaysia, it is unlikely to receive much attention. This study aims to determine the prevalence of group B streptococcus isolated from non-pregnant adults, the Incidence, case-fatality ratio, antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, serotyping, genotyping and detection of the GBS virulence and pili genes from six major hospitals in Peninsular Malaysia.
This study is an extension to the completed first-in-human C1091001 study (NCT03170609) and is to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a single booster vaccine dose of GBS6, administered approximately 2 years or more after a primary GBS6 dose, to healthy adult males and nonpregnant women. The study will determine whether individuals who received a primary dose of GBS6 have additional benefit following a booster dose.
This is the Phase 1/2 first-in-human, randomized, placebo-controlled, observer-blinded study evaluating the investigational multivalent group B streptococcus vaccine. Healthy adults aged 18 to 49 years of age with no history of group B streptococcal vaccination will be randomized to receive either a single intramuscular dose of multivalent group B streptococcus vaccine (various formulations at 3 dose levels) or a placebo (saline control).
