Filter by:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of microdrops vs. standard eyedrops of 0.5% timolol maleate in adults with primary open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension in terms of intraocular pressure-lowering efficacy and cardiovascular side effects.
The goal of this study is to understand if SLT performed at low energy is as effective as SLT performed at standard energy, and also to see if repeating SLT at low energy once a year will prevent or delay the need for daily eye drop medications better than waiting for SLT to wear off before repeating it.
Common complications of the Boston keratoprosthesis type 1 (KPro) surgery include retroprosthetic membrane formation, glaucoma, and retinal detachment. Often pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) is performed at the same time as KPro surgery for different indications. It has been shown to reduce postoperative complications in comparison to when it is performed after the KPro surgery. Patients who receive a complete PPV with peeling of the anterior hyaloid membrane have a lower incidence of retroprosthetic membrane formation and less vision loss due to glaucoma when compared to patients with partial PPV or anterior vitrectomy. During a complete PPV, peeling of the anterior hyaloid membrane is a difficult step because visualisation is poor, but it can be improved using endoscopy. The investigators suggest that peeling of the anterior hyaloid membrane assisted by endoscopy during KPro surgery would decrease postoperative complications in comparison to a PPV done after KPro surgery and without endoscopy.
This study evaluates the effect of dexamethasone implant which is an intraocular corticosteroid on the optic nerve fibers. Retinal nerve fiber thicknesses and optic nerve head pitting rates were measured before and 6 months after the injection.
This is a Phase III, randomized, double-masked, active-controlled, parallel-group, multi-center study. Subjects diagnosed with glaucoma or OHT who meet eligibility criteria at Visit 1 (Screening) will washout of their current topical IOP-lowering medication(s), if any. After completing the required washout period, subjects will return for Visit 2 (Baseline, Day 1). Subjects who meet all eligibility criteria at baseline will be randomized to receive double-masked treatment for 3 months. Approximately 400 adult subjects and up to 30 pediatric subjects with glaucoma or OHT who meet all eligibility criteria will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either: - DE-117 Ophthalmic Solution once daily and Vehicle once daily, or - Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% twice daily. The study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of DE-117 Ophthalmic Solution compared with Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% in subjects with glaucoma or OHT through Month 3.

After completing the required washout period, subjects will return for Visit 2 (Baseline, Day 1). Subjects who meet all eligibility criteria at baseline will be randomized to receive double-masked treatment for 3 months. Adult subjects will receive open-label DE-117 Ophthalmic Solution for an additional 9 months. The study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of DE-117 Ophthalmic Solution compared with Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% in subjects with glaucoma or OHT through Month 3 and will provide additional safety data through Month 12 for subjects receiving DE-117.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the novel form of trans-scleral cyclophotocoagulation using micropulse diode laser and trans-pars plana treatment (Micropulse TSCPC, mTSCPC MP3, IRIDEX CYCLO G6™ Glaucoma Laser System, CA, USA) in adults for the treatment of uncontrolled glaucoma.
This is a multiple cohort study that will evaluate the safety and efficacy of ENV515 travoprost XR in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
A prospective, randomized, controlled study to assess efficacy, safety, and tolerability of selective laser trabeculoplasty vs. pattern laser trabeculoplasty in patients with open-angle glaucoma.
A prospective study reporting on Ex-PRESS shunt implantation alone or combined cataract and glaucoma surgery.
