NCT ID: NCT05556772 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Malignant Female Reproductive System Neoplasm

Optimizing Screening for Cervical Cancer Among Women Living With HIV in the Dominican Republic

Start date: November 14, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study compares different screening approaches to detect abnormal cell growth on the cervix that could be an early sign of cervical cancer. The lesions are caused by an infection of human papillomavirus, also called HPV. Using new methods to detect HPV may help doctors find ways to improve cervical cancer screening for women living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in the Dominican Republic and in other countries.

NCT ID: NCT05051696 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Genital Neoplasms, Female

Intra-tumor Injection of Oncolytic Viruses H101 Combined With or Without Radiotherapy in Refractory/Recurrent Gynecological Malignancies

Start date: September 26, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of oncolytic viruses H101 intra-tumor injection combined with or without radiotherapy in refractory or recurrent gynecological malignancies. And further research the mechanism of oncolytic viruses H101.

NCT ID: NCT04969887 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Neuroendocrine Tumors

Combination Immunotherapy in Rare Cancers Under InvesTigation

MOST-CIRCUIT
Start date: August 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The four tumour streams that will be studied in this protocol are based on immunotherapy sensitive rare cancers from CA209-538 which will be further investigated under this protocol and divided into four groups: 1. Neuroendocrine cancers: Atypical bronchial carcinoid, neuroendocrine carcinoma and Grade 3 NETs independent of primary site (SCLC excluded) 2. Biliary tract cancers: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and gallbladder carcinoma 3. Gynaecological malignancies: Ovarian clear cell carcinoma, uterine clear cell carcinoma, uterine/ovarian carcinosarcoma, uterine leiomyosarcoma and vaginal/vulva squamous cell carcinoma 4. Mismatch repair protein deficient (MSI-H) cancers (excluding colorectal carcinoma). The role of immunotherapy is being defined in more common cancer types, however because of their rarity, the efficacy of immunotherapy for these cancers is poorly defined. This protocol provides an important opportunity to establish whether the combination of nivolumab & ipilimumab has efficacy in these cancers.

NCT ID: NCT04819997 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage IV Lung Cancer AJCC v8

A Nurse-Led Intervention for Fear of Progression in Advanced Cancer

Start date: March 8, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial focuses on a nurse-led program that is designed to help patients cope with worries, fears, and uncertainty about the future. The purpose of this study is to understand if the program is helpful and practical to carry out at medical centers and community clinics. This study may help patients learn more effective ways to cope and respond to your concerns and any unhelpful thoughts.

NCT ID: NCT04596384 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Malignant Solid Neoplasm

Home Base Telemonitoring in Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, or Gynecologic Cancer Patients Undergoing Abdominal Surgery

Start date: February 16, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial compares a home-based telemonitoring program that collects symptom and daily step information to surgeon only care in improving recovery and stopping complications within 30 days after surgery in patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, or gynecologic cancer who are scheduled to undergo abdominal surgery. Patients may experience a decrease in functional capacity and experience symptoms like pain and fatigue after surgery, and this may change their ability to walk and function. Home-based telemonitoring of patient symptoms and their ability to walk and function after surgery may help doctors and nurses find and treat problems early, which may improve the patient's recovery and lower the number of complications after surgery.

NCT ID: NCT04501913 Active, not recruiting - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Remote Telemonitoring of Patient-Generated Physiologic Health Data and Patient-Reported Outcomes

Start date: December 24, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study examines at-home monitoring of patient-generated phsyiologic health data and patient-reported outcomes. Patient-generated health data using at-home monitoring devices and smart device applications are used more and more to measure value and quality in cancer care. This trial may show whether at-home monitoring programs can improve the care of patients after hospital discharge from surgery.

NCT ID: NCT04395079 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Recurrent Malignant Female Reproductive System Neoplasm

Brachytherapy With Durvalumab or Tremelimumab for the Treatment of Patients With Platinum-Resistant, Refractory, Recurrent, or Metastatic Gynecological Malignancies

Start date: August 7, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well brachytherapy with durvalumab or tremelimumab work for the treatment of gynecological malignancies that is resistant to platinum therapy (platinum-resistant), does not respond to treatment (refractory), has come back (recurrent), or has spread to other places in body (metastatic). Brachytherapy, also known as internal radiation therapy, uses radioactive material placed directly into or near a tumor to kill tumor cells. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab and tremelimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This trial is being done to see whether brachytherapy with durvalumab or tremelimumab works better in treating patients with gynecological malignancies.

NCT ID: NCT04266886 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Malignant Female Reproductive System Neoplasm

Self-Hypnosis for the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in Patients With Gynecologic Cancer

Start date: September 11, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial studies how well self-hypnosis works in enhancing recovery after surgery in patients with gynecologic cancer. A guided relaxation method called self-hypnosis may help affect how patients feel pain and symptoms after surgery.

NCT ID: NCT03776630 Active, not recruiting - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Exploring the Potential of Novel Biomarkers Based on Plasma microRNAs for a Better Management of Pelvic Gynecologic Tumors

GYNO-MIR
Start date: May 23, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial is a non-randomized, open label and multicenter study. It aims to : for endometrial cancer.:validate the 5-miR index assessed in plasma samples as a diagnostic marker to assess the risk of lymph node metastases for ovarian cancer : to validate the previous finding on the prognostic value of the pre-/post-treatment variation of miR200b plasma concentrations with regards to PFS (the investigators mean the primary treatment including up-front or post-chemotherapy debulking and adjuvant chemotherapy).

Conquer Fear SUPPORT Intervention in Supporting Patients With Stage III-IV Lung or Gynecologic Cancer

Start date: November 15, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial will pilot a psychosocial intervention called Conquer Fear Support (CFS) in patients with stage III-IV lung or gynecologic cancer who are experiencing fear of cancer progression. The intervention is adapted from a novel program called "Conquer Fear" which was developed by researchers in Australia. CFS may help in reducing worries, fears, and uncertainty in patients with advanced lung or gynecological cancer.
