Filter by:This Phase 2 proof-of-concept study is a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, crossover study to investigate ganaxolone treatment in children with fragile x syndrome (FXS). The objective of the study is to assess the safety, tolerability and efficacy of ganaxolone in the treatment of anxiety and attention in subjects with FXS.
This prospective observational study (registry) on Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is designed to evaluate characteristics, management and patient and caregiver-related outcomes the quality of life of Families and patients with FXS and to collect epidemiological and health economic data. - EXPLAIN will report current and comprehensive data onEpidemiology data on fragile X syndrome - Characterisation of the phenotype of FXS patients - Description of patient characteristics (demographics, family history, comorbidity, education, working situations, care situations, insurance status) - Documentation of therapeutic interventions - Recording and assessment of psychosocial parameters (possibly also inclusion of family members, carers) - quality of life of the carer and if possible the patient - Health economic parameters and consumption of resources
The purpose of this research is to determine if saliva samples can be used as an alternate sample type to test for fragile X. By using saliva instead of blood, it would be easier for patients to have fragile X testing.
This study will enroll subjects who have completed Protocols 209FX301, 209FX302, or are currently participating in Protocol 2202 into a long-term study in which all subjects will receive active drug (arbaclofen).
This multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study will investigate the efficacy and safety of RO4917523 in adolescent and adult patients with fragile X syndrome. Patients will be randomized to receive oral doses of 0.5 mg or 1.5 mg of RO4917523, or matching placebo once daily. The anticipated time on study treatment is 12 weeks.
The aim of this study is to characterize the pharmacokinetics and safety/tolerability of AFQ056 in children with Fragile X Syndrome(FXS)
This study is a control trial of sertraline (Zoloft) in fragile X syndrome children aged 2 years to 5 years 8 months old. The trial is six months long, and each participant will receive a series of tests at both the beginning and end of the study. The researchers hope to show improvements in language and a decrease in autistic symptoms.
The purpose of this study is to generate long-term safety, tolerability and efficacy data for AFQ056 in eligible adolescent patients with FXS who have participated in the CAFQ056B2214 study, the PK study CAFQ056B2131, or another study of AFQ056 which included FXS patients below 18 years of age provided the patient is at least 12 years of age at the time of entry into the current study.
The purpose of the proposed research is to study the potential changes in biomarkers of patients with neurodevelopmental disorders in response to treatment in clinical trials or in private psychiatry practice utilizing non-invasive psychophysiological measurements. The investigators plan to obtain psychophysical measurements throughout several periods of treatment.
This Phase IIb study is designed to assess whether 3 doses of AFQ056 are safe and effective in treating the behavioral symptoms of Fragile X Syndrome.
