Filter by:Heart disease symptoms are a frequent reason of consultation in general medical practice. Only a few general practitioners are equipped with a 12 lead Electrocardiography (ECG) whereas this test is extremely useful for diagnosis orientation in cases of cardiac diseases.Cardiosecur allows the realization of a 15 or 22 leads ECG with only 4 electrodes connected to a smartphone or a tablet with an automatic interpretation function. The goal of the study is to evaluate the diagnostic value of Cardiosecur device regarding cardiac symptoms in family practice.
The aim of this study was to find out the utilization rate and pattern of primary health care services, and the process and outcomes of primary care consultations of the general population in Hong Kong, and whether having a family doctor would make any difference. The study objectives were to determine 1. the rates and pattern of utilization of different primary health care services and self-care 2. Patient self-reported outcomes (global rating on change in health, satisfaction and patient enablement) of primary care consultations; 3. the process of care in consultations including drug and non-drug managements, investigations, preventive care and referrals; 4. the effect of having a regular family doctor on service utilization rate and pattern, health promotion practice, and process and outcomes of primary care consultations.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a systematic family assessment in adult preventive health visits increases the detection of risk factors in the spouse or adolescent child of the screened person.
This study will explore the possible effect of a tailored educational intervention towards general practitioners, in order to reduce inappropriate prescription patterns for elderly patients > 70 years.
