NCT ID: NCT00721162 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Ramucirumab in Ovarian Cancer

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if ramucirumab given as monotherapy is effective in the treatment of Persistent or Recurrent Epithelial Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, or Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT00719303 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Ovarian Endometrioid Adenocarcinoma

Diet and Physical Activity Change or Usual Care in Improving Progression-Free Survival in Patients With Previously Treated Stage II, III, or IV Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, or Primary Peritoneal Cancer

Start date: June 18, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase III trial studies whether changes in diet and physical activity can increase the length of survival without the return of cancer (progression-free survival) compared with usual care in patients with previously treated stage II, III, or IV ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. A healthy diet and physical activity program and counseling may help patients make healthier lifestyle choices. It is not yet known whether changes in diet and exercise may help increase progression-free survival in patients with previously treated cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00702299 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Alimta® Plus Cisplatin & Paclitaxel Given Intraperitonelly; First Line Tx Stage III Ovarian Cancer

Start date: September 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Pemetrexed may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving pemetrexed together with cisplatin and paclitaxel and giving them in different ways may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of intraperitoneal pemetrexed when given together with intraperitoneal cisplatin and paclitaxel in treating patients with stage III ovarian epithelial cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00698451 Completed - Ovarian Neoplasms Clinical Trials

A Study of Carboplatin and DOXIL Plus Bevacizumab in Patients With Platinum Sensitive Recurrent Ovarian, Fallopian Tube and Primary Peritoneal Cancers

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the response rate (Complete Response (CR) and Partial Response (PR)) to carboplatin and DOXIL treatment in combination with bevacizumab in patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancers. All patients will received DOXIL, carboplatin and bevacizumab for a maximum of ten 28-day cycles. Patients will be followed for six months following treatment to assess progression-free survival.

NCT ID: NCT00693342 Withdrawn - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Vaccine Therapy and OPT-821 or OPT-821 Alone in Treating Patients With Ovarian Epithelial Cancer, Fallopian Tube Cancer, or Primary Peritoneal Cancer in Complete Remission

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Vaccines made from tumor antigens may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. Biological therapies, such as OPT-821, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Giving vaccine therapy together with OPT-821 may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether giving vaccine therapy together with OPT-821 is more effective than OPT-821 alone in treating ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying vaccine therapy and OPT-821 to see how well they work compared with OPT-821 alone in treating patients with ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer in complete remission.

NCT ID: NCT00692900 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Safety Study Involving Oxaliplatin With Docetaxel for Recurrent Ovarian,Primary Peritoneal, and Fallopian Tube Cancer

Start date: December 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the safest and maximum tolerated dosing regimens for intraperitoneal oxaliplatin with intravenous docetaxel and intravenous oxaliplatin with intraperitoneal docetaxel for recurrent ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00672295 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

PH I SRC Kinase, Dasatinib Combo Paclitaxel & Carboplatin in Pts w Ovarian, Peritoneal, & Tubal Cancer

Start date: August 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Primary objective to determine the maximal tolerated (MTD) of dasatinib in combination with paclitaxel and carboplatin during the first cycle of treatment. Secondary objectives to describe the toxicity of this combination of therapy; to describe the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics parameters related to this combination; to describe the clinical activity as defined as the response rate (complete and partial response rate) and progression-free survival > 6 month; to compare the SRC pathway microarray signature in pre and post-treatment cancer specimens; to evaluate SRC pathway downstream substrates, FAX, paxcillin, and CRK-L in pre and post-treatment cancer specimens.

NCT ID: NCT00671788 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Ovarian Carcinoma

A Phase II Evaluation of Dasatinib (Sprycel®, NSC #732517) in the Treatment of Persistent or Recurrent Epithelial Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, or Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Dasatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. This phase II trial is studying how well dasatinib works in treating patients with persistent or recurrent ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00669422 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

ChemoFx® PRO - A Post-Market Data Collection Study

Start date: October 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study will collect patient demographic, oncology history, and physician reported outcome information following the initial round of chemotherapy received after a commercial ChemoFx® Final Report for the generation of hypotheses of potential patient cohorts for further sub-studies.

NCT ID: NCT00653328 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Ph II Atrasentan + DOXIL in Recurrent Ovarian/Fallopian/Peritoneal Serous Papillary Adenocarcinoma

Start date: May 2003
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: There is emerging data to suggest that the optimal use of angiogenesis inhibitors may be in combination with chemotherapy. The optimal use of atrasentan may be in combination with chemotherapy in women with relapsed and refractory ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and peritoneal serous papillary adenocarcinoma. Due to its manageable toxicity profile, ease of administration, and activity in both platinum sensitive as well as platinum-resistant patients, Doxil has become the 2nd-line treatment of choice for women with advanced stage ovarian cancer that has progressed following 1st-line platinum/taxane therapy. PURPOSE: To determine if a treatment combination of atrasentan + Doxil is an effective 2nd line treatment in patients with recurrent ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or peritoneal cancer.
