View clinical trials related to Exotropia.
Filter by:Thirty-four subjects with constant exotropia were included. Two independent ophthalmologists measured the angle of ocular deviation using alternate prism cover test (APCT). The video files and data with the changes in ocular deviation during the alternate cover test were obtained using video-oculography (VOG). To verify the accuracy of VOG, Investigator compared the value obtained using VOG and the angle of a rotating model eye, and subsequently made a new linear equation using these data. The calculated values obtained using VOG were compared with those obtained using APCT to determine the diagnostic accuracy of VOG.
This study presents an opportunity to understand a novel, previously unreported controlled intermittent alternate occlusion (CIAO) therapy glasses, which may improve the control of Intermittent exotropia (IXT).
The main objectives of this randomized trial comparing overminus lens treatment to non-overminus (spectacles without overminus or spectacles with plano lenses) are to determine: - The long-term on-treatment effect of overminus treatment on distance intermittent exotropia (IXT) control score. - The off-treatment effect of overminus treatment on distance IXT control score (following weaning and 3 months off treatment).
The purpose of this study is to determine the long-term effect and security of the surgical treatment and observation only on ocular alignment, binocular stereopsis, and quality of life in children with moderate intermittent exotropia.
This study is to investigate protective effect of biodegradable collagen implant in scleral showing after lateral rectus recession in patients with exotropia.
The strabismus impacts binocular visual acuity and stereoscopy. Thus, driving capacities of patients with strabismus may be reduced. The goal of this work is to study the possible amelioration of driving ability after strabismus surgery and to compare the driving capacities of patients with strabismus to a normal population; Patients will be tested before and after strabismus surgery using a driving simulator, binocular visual field and binocular visual acuity.
To determine the effectiveness of alternate occlusion therapy for the treatment of IXT among patients aged 3 to < 11 years old.
The objective of this short-term, pilot randomized trial comparing 2.50 diopters (D) overminus lens treatment vs. non-overminus (spectacles without overminus or no spectacles) in children with intermittent exotropia (IXT) 3 to <7 years of age is to determine whether to proceed to a full-scale, longer-term randomized trial.
This study was conducted to evaluate results of slanted recession of the lateral rectus muscle for intermittent exotropia with convergence weakness
This study seeks to determine if bupivacaine injection of eye muscles can make them stronger and stiffer, and thereby correct the position of eyes that are turned in or mis-aligned, a condition generally termed strabismus. It seeks further to find out the different effects of various concentrations or formulations of bupivacaine, and whether addition of Botox to other eye muscles can add to the effect of bupivacaine and enhance the correction of strabismus.
