View clinical trials related to Esophageal Stenosis.
Filter by:Complete endoscopic resection of early neoplastic BE is a curative procedure. However, a significant proportion of patients develop symptomatic esophageal strictures following CBE, and this limits the technique, particularly for circumferential and longer segment disease. Oral steroid therapy may reduce stricture formation; thereby allowing CBE to be performed with minimal associated morbidity.
The CLARITY study is a clinical trial approved by US FDA to study the removal of the Evolution® Esophageal Stent-Fully Covered in malignant and benign indications.
The purpose of this study is to establish clinical proof of concept of temporary indwell of the WallFlex™ Esophageal Fully Covered Metal Stent (FCMS) for the treatment of refractory benign esophageal strictures caused by caustic ingestion.
To collect efficacy and outcomes data related to the use of trūFreeze® spray cryotherapy for the treatment of unwanted tissue in the pulmonary and gastrointestinal settings.
Although balloon dilatation is the primary treatment for benign dysphagia, information about the optimal inflation time is lacking. The aim of the current pilot study was to compare 10 seconds inflation time, with 2 minutes inflation time, regarding the efficacy
The purpose of this of this study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of temporary indwell of the WallFlex Esophageal FC Metal Stent to Bougie Dilation for the treatment of refractory anastomotic esophageal strictures
The purpose of this study is to determine whether fully covered or partially covered metal stents are more favorable in incurable malignant stenosis of the esophagus or cardia. Primary outcome will be the occurence of recurrent dysphagia which is defined as dysphagia due to a stent or tumour related cause in a 6-month follow-up
A database analysis and review of histological slides (retrospective) and a patient questionnaire analysis (prospective) will be conducted in Bern (Switzerland) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of esophageal dilation and its effect on the underlying eosinophilic inflammation in patients with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. This trial is investigator driven.
