NCT ID: NCT06153186 Terminated - Clinical trials for Childhood Absence Epilepsy

Flunarizine for Treatment Resistant Absence Epilepsy

Start date: September 20, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, single-centre study to evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety and tolerability of Flunarizine administered as adjunctive treatment in participants diagnosed with treatment resistant absence epilepsy. The study goal is to see how efficient and safe flunarizine is at decreasing the frequency of absence seizures in children with treatment-resistant refractory epilepsy at doses of 5mg and 10mg once daily.

NCT ID: NCT04537832 Terminated - Dravet Syndrome Clinical Trials

Natural History Study of Infants and Children With Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies

ENVISION
Start date: January 18, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a multicenter, prospective, 2-year observational study in infants and children with developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs). The DEE currently being investigated is SCN1A-positive Dravet Syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT03299842 Terminated - Dravet Syndrome Clinical Trials

A Study to Assess the Usability of the Embrace Seizure Detection Watch in Children and Young Adults With Dravet Syndrome

Start date: July 12, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is an exploratory sub-study to ZX008-1503 [NCT02823145]. Subjects will be fitted with an Embrace seizure detection watch and seizures detected by the watch will be compared to those entered into an electronic seizure diary.

NCT ID: NCT02815540 Terminated - Dravet Syndrome Clinical Trials

The Effects of Cannabidiol (CBD) on Electrical and Autonomic Cardiac Function in Children With Severe Epilepsy

CBD1
Start date: February 16, 2017
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The investigators propose to study the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) on cardiac electrical function and the autonomic nervous system in children with Dravet syndrome (DS) and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), when the CBD is administered as an artisanal oil obtained through state dispensaries or other sources. The intent is to begin to assess potential risks and benefits of this therapy in a vulnerable patient population by characterizing the effects of CBD on EKG findings, heart rate variability and the occurrence of seizures.

NCT ID: NCT02187809 Terminated - Dravet Syndrome Clinical Trials

Safety and Tolerability of Clobazam as Adjunctive Therapy in Paediatric Patients Aged ≥1 to ≤16 Years With Dravet Syndrome

Start date: March 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To investigate the long-term safety and tolerability of clobazam when administered for 1 year as adjunctive therapy in paediatric patients aged ≥1 to ≤16 years with Dravet Syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT00693017 Terminated - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Adjunctive Zonisamide in Myoclonic Seizures Associated With Idiopathic Generalised Epilepsy

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is intended to provide evidence that zonisamide is safe and effective in the treatment of myoclonic seizures. The total planned trial duration will be 6.5 months. After that, subjects who have completed the study will be eligible to enroll in an open-label extension study until zonisamide is marketed for this indication or further development in this indication stops. This extension study will be described in a separate protocol (E2090-E044-318).
