Filter by:Screening, diagnosis and treatment of HCV in PWID, should be part of a harm reduction strategy. Treatment of HCV infected PWID should be delivered in a multidisciplinary care setting with services to reduce the risk of reinfection and for management of the common social and psychiatric comorbidities in this population. More frequent diagnosis, new methods that prevent loss of tracking, and access to antiviral treatment are all strategies that must be implemented jointly if the prevalence of HCV infection in our setting is to be reduced.
This single-center study will be a single-dose, randomized, double-blind, placebo- and active-controlled crossover study with a single inpatient treatment visit. The abuse potential of single oral doses of EB-1020 IR (400 mg, 800 mg) will be compared with that of placebo and d-amphetamine (20 mg, 40 mg; active control) in healthy recreational stimulant users. Subjects will participate in a medical Screening visit (Visit 1), one 4-day inpatient Qualification Phase (Visit 2), one 11-day inpatient Treatment Phase (Visit 3), and a safety Follow-up visit (Visit 4).
The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of two evidence-based intervention strategies of SBIRT (Generalist vs. Specialist) for adolescent alcohol, tobacco, other drug use, and HIV risk behaviors.
This study entails an evaluation of the Washington Intensive Supervision Program (WISP). The purpose of the evaluation is to test whether subjects assigned to WISP perform better than those assigned to parole-as-usual (PAU).
