NCT ID: NCT06262893 Not yet recruiting - Dexamethasone Clinical Trials

Effect of Dexamethasone Adjuvant in Combined Supraclavicular Block and Suprascapular Block Versus Interscalene Block in Patients Undergoing Shoulder Arthroscopy

Start date: February 25, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study the investigators aim to compare the effect of the suprascapular- supraclavicular nerve block in association with dexamethasone to that of the interscalene brachial plexus block on analgesic effect during arthroscopic shoulder surgery, as postoperative pain scores ,postoperative consumption of analgesic rescue medications and diaphragmatic excursion assessment.

NCT ID: NCT06044480 Not yet recruiting - Dexamethasone Clinical Trials

Effect of Dexamethason on Postimplantation Syndrome After EVAR

DEPOS
Start date: November 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is a multi center double-blinded randomized controlled superiority trial, comparing the effects on postimplantatrion syndrome of a single preoperative dose of dexamethasone vs. standard treatment in endovascular aneurysm repair. Participating researchers must be vascular surgeons or vascular anesthesiologists certified by national entities. Recruitment is expected to begin in the second semester of 2023. The trial will follow the ICH-GCP guidelines and national and international legislation and reporting will be performed according to CONSORT 2010 guidelines. Site inclusion requires hospital ethics committee approval. Written informed consent is mandatory for all patients and the information and consent forms must be approved by Institutional Ethics Committee.

NCT ID: NCT05825378 Not yet recruiting - Dexamethasone Clinical Trials

The Effect of Intercostal Nerve Block With Dexamethasone and Ropivacaine on Rebound Pain After Thoracoscopic Surgery

Start date: May 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Regional nerve block is one of the commonly used methods for postoperative analgesia after thoracoscopic surgery. Recent studies have found that rebound pain may occur after regional block, which is defined as acute postoperative pain that occurs after the resolution of sensory block related to regional anesthesia, and seriously affects the quality of postoperative recovery of patients. There is evidence that rebound tenderness is associated with local anesthetic toxicity and proinflammatory effects. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of dexamethasone on rebound pain after a single intercostal nerve block in patients undergoing thoracoscopic surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05549895 Not yet recruiting - Dexamethasone Clinical Trials

Effect of Intrathecal Dexamethasone on Intra-operative Hemodynamic in Elderly Patients Undergoing Urologic Endoscopic Surgery

Start date: September 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Correction of Post-spinal anesthesia hypotension by fluids pose the risk of volume overload or compromising cardiac conditions. Intravenous Dexamethasone in some studies is used to treat conditions manifested by decrease of peripheral vascular resistance Many advantages were investigated for the addition of dexamethasone to bupivacaine in spinal anesthesia as prolongation of anesthesia time, postoperative analgesia and prophylaxis for shivering. In this study the investigators will investigate the ability of dexamethasone to blunt post-spinal anesthesia hypotension in elderly patients undergoing urological endoscopic surgery, and hence, if it decreases amount of fluids and dose of vasoactive drugs.

NCT ID: NCT05293210 Not yet recruiting - Covid19 Clinical Trials

Early Treatment Strategy With High-dose Dexamethasone in Patients With SARS-CoV-2

Start date: February 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Early identification and treatment of this inflammatory cascade using existing therapeutic strategies with proven safety profiles could change the course and prognosis of COVID-19 infection, reducing mortality rates. Glucocorticoids may modulate inflammation-mediated lung injury and thereby reduce progression to respiratory failure and death

NCT ID: NCT04763434 Not yet recruiting - Dexmedetomidine Clinical Trials

Dexamethasone and Dexmedetomidine as Adjuvants to Ropivacaine in Ultrasound-guided Multilevel Thoracic Paravertebral Block for Lobectomy: A Prospective, Randomized, Triple-blind Study

Start date: March 20, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The hypothesis is whether perineural dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine prolonged the duration of analgesia as compared with either perineural dexamethasone or perineural dexmedetomidine after TPVB.
