Evaluation of Efficacy and Safety of Enhanced External Counter-pulsation on Patients With Atopic Dermatitis and Inflammatory Skin Disease Requiring Wet Wrap Therapy

Patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) and erythematous skin disease are often treated with topical treatment containing corticosteroids. However, long term use of topical corticosteroid is well known for its potential side-effects such as skin atrophy, hirsutism, dyspigmentation, telangiectasia, and possible skin infection and iatrogenic adrenal insufficiency. Fear about medication side effects would cause lack of adherence to treatment regiments and thus patients would seek for alternative therapies, and a long term safer and affordable treatment modality is required to fill this therapeutic gap. Enhanced external counter-pulsation (EECP) therapy is a non-invasive method to improve perfusion of vital organs and reduces hypercholesterolemia-induced endothelial damage. It also helped to increase cerebral blood circulation in patients with ischemic stroke and improved neurological recovery. This study aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of patients with atopic dermatitis and erythematous/ inflammatory skin diseases to receive EECP therapy combined treatment compared to wet wrap therapy alone.

Pruritis is a common symptom in patients with atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. Patients with atopic dermatitis and psoriasis often report pruritis-associated sleep impairments and scratching behaviors during nighttime and the negative impact on their quality of life. However, nocturnal scratch behavior and sleep impairment are poorly understood due to the difficulties in quantifying these symptoms in patients' daily lives. This study deploys multiple technologies (polysomnography, video capture, wrist sensors, clinician-reported outcomes, and patient-reported outcomes) to develop and validate a wrist-based solution to quantify nocturnal scratch.

Lebrikizumab Pen Ease of Use in Participants With Atopic Dermatitis

Effect of EMD Protocol for Urge on Dermatology-specific Quality of Life

The primary objective of this open randomised controlled trial is to assess the add-on effect of EMD-U compared to CAU alone, in improving dermatology-specific quality of life in patients with atopic dermatitis or prurigo nodularis who suffer from severe scratching behaviour. The main study parameter is the difference in treatment effect between EMD-U and CAU at T2, measured with the Skindex-29 symptoms scale. There are five measurement points: T0, T1 after 4 weeks, T2 after 8 weeks, T3 after 12 weeks, and T4 after 6 months. Patients are randomly allocated to either the EMD-U or CAU condition.

An Observational Study to Assess Real-World Use of Upadacitinib Tablets in Adolescent and Adult Participants With Moderate to Severe Atopic Dermatitis in China

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a skin condition that may cause a rash and itching due to inflammation of the skin. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for treating AD. Approximately 1000 adolescents and adult participants who are prescribed upadacitinib by their physician in accordance with local label will be enrolled in up to 40 sites in China. Participants will receive oral upadacitinib tablets as prescribed by their physician according to their routine clinical practice and local label. Participants will be followed up for approximately 12 months. There is expected to be no additional burden for participants in this trial. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic according to their routine clinical practice.
