Filter by:Vedolizumab is a medicine that helps to reduce symptoms of IBD and the associated inflammation in the digestive system for participants with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. In this study, participants with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease will be treated with vedolizumab according to their clinic's standard practice. Participants will receive vedolizumab as either an infusion or an injection just under the skin (subcutaneous). The main aim of the study is to observe real-world treatment patterns in participants treated with vedolizumab. The study sponsor will not be involved in how participants are treated but will provide instructions on how the clinics will record what happens during the study.
Inflammatory bowel disease consists of either ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn's disease (CD). The main aim of this study is to describe real-world treatment patterns in adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease when treated with vedolizumab. This will include the administration choices which can either be an infusion through a vein (intravenous or IV), or an injection just under the skin (subcutaneous injection, or SC). Treatment will be determined by the study doctor according to routine clinical practice.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of Deucravacitinib in participants who have previously been enrolled in a Deucravacitinib Phase 2 study for moderate to severe Crohn's disease or moderate to severe Ulcerative Colitis.
The main aim of the study is to assess the quality of life of people with Crohn's disease after treatment for complex perianal fistulas in a standard clinic setting. Study doctors will review the participants' medical records in the last 3 years. Participants will also be asked to visit the clinic once to complete 1 questionnaire on their quality of life.
The main aim of this study is to check the disease activity in people with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Participants will complete questionnaires about their disease and quality of life on Day 1 clinic visit. They will do this during a standard scheduled appointment with their doctor. Some of this study will also involve collecting information about participants from their medical records.
Given the bidirectionality between psychological distress and disease activity in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), whereby increased psychological distress exacerbates disease activity and vice versa, psychosocial aspects of IBD care are receiving increased attention. However, proposed interventions are generally resource-intensive and have been tested in majority white populations. While people of color are an increasing segment of the IBD population, they are currently underrepresented in research studies. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and implementation of internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (iCBT) among IBD patients of color with elevated psychological distress.
The purpose of this study is to assess effectiveness of vedolizumab versus ustekinumab in patients with Crohn's disease and vedolizumab versus tofacitinib in patients with ulcerative colitis, after non-response to anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) medications, using data from two existing cohorts.

Specific Aim 1: Characterize the effects of vitamin D treatment on expression of α4β7 on B cells in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Specific Aim 2: Determine the effects of vitamin D treatment on fecal immunoglobulins, percentage of Ig-coated gut bacteria, gut microbiome composition (global and bound by immunoglobulins) in patients with IBD and the association of these parameters with change in α4β7+ B cells . Specific Aim 3: Compare BCR repertoire (BCR clonotypes, immunoglobulin heavy chain gene (IGHV), and isotype usage) between α4β7+ and α4β7- B cells in patients with IBD and identify α4β7+ BCR clonotypes associated with Ig-bound gut bacteria .
There is little information on how Crohn's disease progresses in between a patient's clinic visits and how stress impacts symptom change including flare-ups. The purpose of this research study is to see if digital tools like smartphones, and wearable devices are helpful in finding out new information that may explain fluctuation in symptoms. This study is a feasibility study that will try to identify biomarkers, collected through a smartphone app and wearable devices paired with clinical information collected during clinic visits to track participants' overall health for 6 to 12 months. The data collected will be used to identify and predict symptoms associated with Crohn's disease flare ups. The aim of this work is to inform knowledge of what triggers Crohn's disease worsening that might lead to advances in management.
